cool review i like the way you said people use the bible for power, thats true, even though the bible is from god how man uses it in a personal basis can either benefit everyone or not :) I loved the movie entirely, as others might not, would it make a difference if eli was delivering a key that activated a weapon of mass destruction? or a plant that had ingredients to cure a virus? the films the film, the only controversal thing about the film was is and always will be peopels opinins
'The Book of Eli' is my personal favorite movie of 2010. Great movie with great storyline, acting, directing. The atmosphere reminded me Mad Max trilogy a little bit. Denzel Washington was great. Mila Kunis showed surprisingly stunning acting. Her best film to date. Gary Oldman - no comments, great as always. He was born for villain roles
interesting. so you rate the film so well because (as you say) "it says nothing bad about the bible at all". so a film that shows criticism of the bible you'd rate poorly? really? that's how you rate movies? wow.
No, that's making a generalization...this movie is obviously has a spiritual message, therefore...I view it in that sense. Now, it's not limited to other views, but this is the prominent one I chose.
Yea, I just saw that movie. It was great. Nice to see there is a movie that actually have a positive Christian spin, and a christian followers. Good for you, and btw, I think you're "Hawt". haha
I support ABSOLUTELY the KJV AV1611 and it's minor english corrections over the years, yes, but NOT the NKJV. The Texts were taken from the Occult Vaticanus and the Sinaiticus, written by occultist in 1881. It was made to counter the reformation, as usual, and to create the new age religion, so they can achieve world ecumenism with it.
INotice that most of the "christian" cults came from that time, and MOST of them are related to all the occult Bibles that exist today.
(2) You can watch the movie(or the illuminist part) here if you want.

oh, and you will ABSOLUTELY LOVE the new documentary of critically acclaimed author Chris Pinto, called, A Lamp in the Dark. I've NEVER seen anything like it. It took me 7 years to understand what you can learn in 3 hours in that movie/doc.
The Book of Eli is the best movie I've seen in years. I kept waiting for the obligatory Christian bashing... but it didn't happen. Great review Alisa.

this is the worst movie I have ever seen in my life... the message is horrible!
Positive outlook? The most read book in history is missing and we should get it printed so a mob boss can keep his girls working for him ?
omg

Someone told me that this movie was just another distortion of Christianity. I'll see when I watch it I guess.

The only think I REALLY didn't like is the 2 last scenes.
It was the Occult NEW KJV that he brought.
And the last scene is REALLY gnostic/illuminist in symbolism with the sun and mountain....
This really didn't surprised me in the end, we are talking about Hollywood, and Denzel Washington.

You don't support the New King James Version?
I didn't notice the sun and mountain thing - I'll spot it the next time I see it!
