@yahamagirl160 did you know clinton anderson got all the teaching methods from other trainers? some of the stuff they teach is kinda stupid of cores only some people agree with me but they twisted around some of the stuff and added there type of training.
@crazyformisty123 ya i know. iv found so many different people (horsemanship and horse whispers) w/ the same theory but they twisted around the words and used that theory to teach the horse how they want them to respond in that situation.
For ex. Clinton Anderson (horsemanship) "make the right thing easy and the wrong thing difficult" and Monty Roberts (horse whisperer) who causes the horse to want to come to him or to get him to go into a trailer by making it difficult or unconformable when ever the horse is away from him or out side of the trailer. :)
@yahamagirl160 i have a trainer at my barn that uses a little bit of every thing, but he is so calm no matter what happens around any horse, and that is a big part of it.
@crazyformisty123 yes i do agree that is a great thing. i remember time where i got frustrated and lost my temper. i had to leave and figure out what i was doing wrong. now i can stay so calm because i know what i am doing and the horse and i was safe doing it that way. I heard this somewhere but its a great theory. "its not what u can get the horse to do but how u got him to do it." <3
@yahamagirl160 i agree, when my horse wouldn't get caught for 3 hours straight every day i gave up and cried, but now i know how she likes to be caught... she hates and moterized thing so u can go out there and get her like that and when i see her and get my arm around her i expect her to give in and put the halter down. i gave her a treet ever time i got her and so she walks or trots up to me and i don't always even have to use a halter.
nice!
