And about Agnetha not being recognized here in Sweden: she is of course considered huge, and she is also getting a lot of cred for being a song writer. Agnetha wrote her own songs, and were credited for this already at the age of 17: It's a shame she has low esteem about writing new songs: her melodies are strong and beautiful (Benny says it is sad she has no discipline to write, and Björn once commented the same. Sweden should give Agnetha a tribute album with covers of her songs!

means, what told Benny and Bjorn about Agnetha, because she was amazing

singer and songwriter before ABBA. And finally, why do you need more new

songs from Agnetha, if she sings off-key? (as you stated)

@OldFanMr Seems you just want to fight. Yes, i think Agnetha sings sour in Dick Cavett tv show. She still writes good songs and performs great vocals in her studio recordings. I'm still a fan, and I still thinks she is one of the top pop voices of all time. In contrast to You, I have no problem hearing a voice is off key. Even if it is Agnetha Åse Fältskog herself. Read the newspaper reviews from 'Fästfolk' in 1970, read from 'Björn, benny and Agnetha' summer concerts 1971: "Fältskog sings sour"

Read from 'Agnetha, Björn, Benny and Frida' and their first concerts as foursome the summer oif 1973 (the newspaper reviews are online): Good concerts, but "Mrs Fältskog sings off-key". 99% of all ABBA tv performances are playback. *ABBA The Movie* was re-recorded with new vocals for their Australian live concerts. ABBA was the only artist to peform to playback for the 1979 Unicef Concert ('Chiquitita'). listen to Agnetha when she sings in the 1985 'Gäst hos Hägge'. She's still amazing.

Now, just go ahead and call me whatever. In response, just show me a live performance where Agnetha sings better than or as good as the studio recording. ABBA made extraordinairy vocal performances, which made it hard to reproduce on live tv or in concert. Look at the tv programme ABBA made with Olivia Newton John in May 1978: listen to Olivias performance. Agnetha and Frida could probably have done the same, but do you know any live performance that surpasses their records? Guess I'm in trouble

I would be a cotton brain if i claimed she was perfect, Blind love never lasts long, it's realizing the one you admire is imperfect that makes love last and grow. I doubt the 61 year old woman living in Ekerö in Stoclholm wants to be named 'Superstar' and 'Superwoman'. She has said for more than 20 years that she wants to live in peace, and that she is scared of fanatic fans. Like you.

She said recently in an interview that she'd love to approach swedish traditional music and folk songs, and I understand her very well. Frida has responded to the request of the two singing together that she would like to. Old ABBA fans would want them to record a new Björn and Benny song, I wish they would do whatever their taste musically directs them to. Acoustic, tender, naked...?

Even though I love my mother, I can still say she's singing off-key. If I'm a fan of both or one or another should not prevent me from listening and hearing that in this particular recording, although the lead vocal no doubt is Anni-Frids, Agnethas contribution is not as good. I know I hurt a lot of devoted fans hearts, but myself, I can be just a huge fan of both Agnetha and Frida and still hear they had bad moments. I get hate mail and aggressive comments, fair enough, cry your hearts out.

as much as I love Agnetha, these clips from DC is stripping her naked: she is fragile and off pitch... Frida is radiant. The 'Slipping Through My Fingers' clip which has the vocals only shows it best; she was not good this day.

@jazzbobrown Your negative comments towards Agnetha are really irritating,,, This is probably the 10th I have come across surfing through videos...We get it, you like Frida better...geesh. Try recognizing that without Agnetha, the ABBA goes out the window and Frida has had bad vocal days also... There are several around that you probably ignore & where the blonde clearly stands out.

Even as a backup, Agnetas vocals are creative, its a pity she is not more recognised on her own scale in sweden, I once asked a guy from Jönköping about their most famous singer, and he did not even mentioned her...
