It is really the Coming Back To You tribute CD. I have this one and I've listened many times. The Reason Man was never played in studio but only in live performances indeed. That's the true you should accept it.
I don't think this is real. The drums are the Korg KR55/Arp 2600 sounds they did not use until working with Daniel Miller in the studio (the band didn't own either but used a cheap Boss drum machine, which you can hear in early bootleg live stuff like the "Bridgehouse" gig). There is no way they could have gotten those sounds recording a demo in their house in 1980. I think someone heard the live version, sampled the drums, and are pretending to be Composition of Sound.
JE CONNAIS DEPECHE MODE DEPUIS 1981 ET JE DECOUVRE CET AVANT GROUPE INCONNU POUR MOI, COMPOSITION OF SOUND, C'EST INTERESSANT CES PETITS MORCEAUX INEDITS SANS DAVE GAHAN MAIS AVEC VINCE CLARCK. C'EST TOUT A FAIT DANS LE STYLE DU DEBUT DE DEPECHE MODE.
This is NOT DM, but from am album called "Coming Back To You : Present A Tribute To Depeche Mode [And Others]" BUT I would give my first born to have a good copy of DM actually doing this song. It's fantastic.
This is a Depeche Mode song performed by a cover band. Do your research and you will see.. But appreciate the upload for the clarity of lyrics if you can decipher.
this is a tribute album. it is not depeche mode. "reason man" was later used for vinces band yazoo for the track "unmarked".
there is also a live version of "reason man" from depeche mode. you will find it also here on youtube.

Check top comments - it is coming back to you - a tribute - I have the CD and confirm it is not dm - just a recording faithful to the original.

Parts of the melody sound a bit like 'Tuesday' by Yazoo - "pack up and drive away, away, pack up and drive away..."

The bass line sounds little bit like "Kraftwerk- The Model"...
Anyway, both are great, Kraftwer & Depeche Mode, all members of DM: Vince Clarke and Alan Wilder....
