  • 1:00 how did you make it so the ball keeps spitting out water? in my case the ball just falls and is the liquid

  • whoa 4th was fuckin cool

  • I have no idea why these are so much fun to watch.

  • Did you add the cartoon effect in AE on 0:20 or did you just use Blender? :o)

  • Awesome!I love them all!

  • Nice! The one with the spiral thing is awesome!

  • And at 1:11 :)!

  • Ah! At :48! How do you do that!!? Do you use an obstacle!? I keep trying this and it looks horrible or it hardly wants to even go down it! Please help!

  • Also, what do u mean by move with free? Also, how did you change the gravity during the fluid simulation?

  • I want the ball with the fluid emitting from it to move, but not the fluid already on the ground to move. When I move it, the fluid moves along the ground with the ball.

  • how high of a resolution can you get? because i can only get to like 225 whith blender 2.49 and that goes SLOW

  • 0:58 how do I get the ball to move during the animation? PLS HELP ME!!

  • @thundermaster77 do you want it on an animation path or do you wnat it to move by free will ie physics?

  • @thundermaster77 just add keyframes to the inflow BEFORE baking

  • wow...not bad!

  • 0:37 how would you make a shadow like that for a person?

  • how do you even use blender? lol

  • how do you make the water clear abd how do yo make it collied with stuff

  • Bacaninha

  • 0:57 Would be great for a ToothPaste commercial!! What it's showing us: I don't really care, It's awesome!!

  • everybody blender is better than maya my friends dad works for autodesk so he gave me a copy and i prefer blender over maya

  • why there is always a transparent cube?

  • cubes or gtfo

  • @bcallfree because there has to be a limit to where the water goes, if there wasn't, the water would be lost into 3d space. Larger cubes would look better but the volume of water created by the simulation would take days to render. many people use a cube for simplicity

  • @leggoman O_Owdf leggo? u love cubes then!

  • There's always a transparent cube because that is the "domain" which all fluid is rendered. Anything outside of the bounds of the cube will not be rendered as fluid

  • the one at 0:54... i wanna fuckin bite it!!!

  • where download this ??

  • super eye - candy !

  • how do you make it clear

  • Did you use any special renderer?

I heard of "Yafaray" a free raytracing renderer...or are realistic looking fluids like these also possible with blender's ordinary render functions?

(I'm not a pro, just asking;-)

  • SPLASHIE...SLOSHIE...SLURPY...MESSY

    Cool :D

    5 Stars :)

  • uhhh...is it hard to use?

  • Getting used to it is a bit... hard. Using it once you know what you are doing is easy.

  • is blender free

  • yes, and it's probably the best Freeware 3D software I know of.

  • Blasphemy!!!

It's not just freeware, it's open source.

That's why it's growing this fast and this good...

  • well I'm a bit of a noob, so I have no idea what the difference is. Either way, Blender is free to download and awesome

  • how did you do 00:49....?

  • If this is not real-time, I wonder how long it takes to pre render these liquids, cause they are AWESOME!

  • takes days...

  • how do you make the water carry on pooring instead of just falling then splashing?

  • Instead of setting the fluid setting to "Fluid", set it to "Inflow"

  • 0:49 is the best in my opinion. But all of them are great.

  • cool

  • how did u learn how to do all that?

  • how do u make the fluid continuous?

  • Set the fluid source to inflow instead of just fluid

  • Setting it to inflow instead of fluid.

  • The clip at 1:20 - intereting way of making fire. Looks pretty good, too. And so does the rest, ofc :P

  • that's some fantastic work. i'm new to blender and hope to one day make similar images. thanks for posting!

  • you should have used much smaller particle effects because the water looks very chunky. It would just take a much longer time to render xD

  • As a user of Blender for some time now, I can honestly say that this is freaking amazing. The time it must have taken for you to bake then render all of these must have been great. I particularly liked the fluid that had the pattern and also the one with the texture. My favorite though had to be the spiralling tube that was over the countertop, that looked as real as it could get.

  • That program is amazing. Is there a way so you can set the adhesion of the water to the object to higher than the cohesion, and make gravity 0?

  • that's just awesome.

  • Thats awesome dude!!!!

  • cool animatoins ***5 Stars ***

how long did the second animation to render?

  • oh sry i mean the 3rd animation^^

  • Looks like goopy paint.

  • I can only imagine how long this took to render.

  • its not that hard really its made using a piece of software called blender :)

  • Checkerboarded water!!!!

  • is this hard to do?

  • no not really start blender put on wireframe mode press shift + D size the extra cube down press f7 twice click on the smaller cube (dont move it) click on enable fluid click fluid (leave everything the way it is) click on larger cube click enable and then domain (leave everything) click bake wait... when its done, remove exess cube and right click on the liquid. drop out of wireframe mode. go to edit mode and smooth it. then enjoy!
  • sounds a little confusing but im sure i could figure it out

  • youll see the buttons. i figured it out in half an hour :)

  • cool

  • I like the last one, looks like I need to read up on how to do the liquid effect in this program.

  • You know how to use it. YAY!

  • Those were so awesome!

  • at 42 seconds how?

  • Have you seen the love bug

  • you are amazing how do you do that ps that could make a robot

  • 0:22 looked like a comic illustration

  • it looks like a CFD software, like fluent.

  • these are brilliant 5/5

    well done :)

  • holly shit 00:48 was awsome!

  • Yeah... It looked SO real!!!! :) I agree!

  • very good!

  • really cool

  • Cool!

  • question: how'd you make that last one? that one is real cool!

great job. i can only imagine how long it took to render those...

  • i think rotate the cube AND the camera, gravity does the rest

  • @ 00:36

that's the kind of paint you use to make chessboards xD

  • ithink my laptop would expload from all the memory it takes to do that

  • how do u do that i such high quality

  • i was wondering how you made the water pouur out of that thing inn the second one?

and the first one you made it pur from something that you coudnt see. is that when you make it an outflow or something?

  • why do they all have to be in boxes???

  • is blender hard to use

  • Yes indeed. Start of with programs such as Gmax, Pivot, DAZ studio, ect. Before attempting but it is not impossible to learn right away. Wiki Blender 3d to find the official blender wiki and tutorials.

  • wow

  • at first till you get the hang of it

  • lol i downloaded it but it wont run so i give up

  • Personally, it is daunting at first. But reading a few tutorials, I got it in about 1 or 2 days. It's easy once you get the hang of it.

  • kewl

  • hey can u plz post a vid or can SOMEONE post a vid on how to make this?

I have no experience at all with blender and there are hardly any tutorials that show u specific stuff theyre just lyk ok do this and this and this ll happen they dont tell u what to click n stuff...:(

  • i second this,

i hav neva seen enfin from blender fluids which could ever even come close to REALFLOW fluids... although blender actuali appears quite decent.

  • That made me have to pee. -.o

  • iv wached this like nine times howd u get the stuff to mover

  • hi the videos were great but how do u get the programme

    thanks

  • Its called blender google it

  • WOW that was some pretty sweet stuff. Good work

  • The textured liquids were actually kinda strange to watch. Never thought about doing that before.

Fluid simulation is actually really easy to do with Blender, a beginning could probably setup a scene in about 30 minutes. Its the rendering part that can take even fast computers days.

  • Correct me if I am wrong, but

the really awesome thing about this is that Blender is an open source software, so anyone can do this for free!

  • how did you do that at 49 seconds?? please ive been dying to know...

  • fuckin sweet

  • DUDE onfg awsome,i wish i could do that but my computer is shit!

  • It probably can :p

  • You are a god at animation. 100000000000 years on animation school...

  • 48 to 50 looks so real!

  • amazing!

  • I LOVE YOUR VIDEO and would like to use on a project for a big music festival here in LA. If you could send me a link to where I can download it with the highest definition possible, I will edit the best youtube clips into a one hour movie and project it to a large screen during the music festival. Also, I will send you a copy of the video once it's done, and will give all the artist their deserved credit!

Please contact me via d.agua @ yahoo dot com

  • Nice video.

After 2 years of using blender, it still amazes me that these fantastic physics simulations can be made with a free product!

  • how did you get the direction change on the last one?

  • Iv been making alot of simple liquid tests, but I cant figure out how to make the water pour out of something like a spout. Could someoe help me on this? thanks.

  • hey,

can someone show me how to use this program?

  • just look for tutorials, type in google *blender 2.43 tutorials* and click on he link from wikipedia, they have the best ones

  • the one at 0:23... What toon settings? :S

  • This is really cool, I'm gonna download this program and try it out.

  • where can i get this! this rules!

  • blender3d. org

  • Nice vid

  • hi wat is this s it sum kind of magical liqi=uid that they are planning to makeo wat

  • I love it and it makes me really happy! (*)

  • can you send me that

    patrickcaulton423[at]hotmail[dot]com

  • This is really fun and soothing like bruce lee said be like water pour water in a cup and it becomes the cup! art maximopark.

  • um, maximoparkfan? they're not 'making blenders'.

Blender is the name of the program they use to make the animations.

It helps to know what you're judging if you wish to judge something :)

  • good stuff

  • Maximoparkfan is extremely jeulous. The rest of us actually try to do it ourselves rather than condemn what we admire...

  • i'm not jealous i just think it's a waste of time.. and i dont admire it becoz i thought it was shit.

  • Its not a waste of time Maximoparkfan. Its a demonstration of computer graphics which ultimately get used in the TV, film and games industry. People who do this kind of work have interesting and often lucrative careers. I suggest you learn to be more open minded, spell and not call strangers twats, or you'll find yourself doing something like flipping burgers. You may only be 14 but believe me, comments like yours make you look really stupid.

  • You need to walk before you can run. That's it. You can't download Blender, do a once-over of the documentation, sit down, and work out a Pixar-quality short. You have to spend time learning the ins and outs of the software, before you do what you've planned to do. This is obviously an effects test, not anything more, as it follows no plot, etc. It is a good first try, and it is your choice whether to watch it or not.

  • twas fasininating

  • WTF?! THAT IS NOT COOL!i dont understand you people!

all this guy has done is make water or "fluid" on a computer and wasted half his life doing it! this is as intersting as watching a blender. honestly how long did it take you to do this? if u have this "talent" *cough* at computers, do something useful with this so called "talent" other than making freakin blenders on a computer!!!!!

  • this must be very interestingg, watching blenders blend stuff is awesome (as long as its not food or ice meaning like golfballs a phone or a controller)

  • Do you flip burgers for a living?

  • that burger flipping question was for maximoparkfan.

  • vjfirtyhenry.. i dont "flip burgers for a living", this is because i am still in high school. TWAT.

    you can't assume someones age.

  • high school... that explains why you're acting like you know everything.. it's ok

  • A. I'm in high school too. B. To answer your question, the software used is something called "Blender3d." He's not making blenders. Calm yourself. He's just experimenting, and it's a good first try at using the program's fluid simulator. That's why vjdirtyhenry (whatever that means) thought you were not entirely smart. Not your fault, just a misunderstanding, don't sweat it.

  • looks like he isnt just experimenting..Your awful smug for being a kid...or just jealous of the talent this video exhibits...grow up a little

  • Again, calm down. When I say experiment, I mean this isn't a final product. By final product, I mean something that people would actually sit down and watch as if it were a film or short movie. Videos like this, no matter how good, are usually preparation for something else, and are therefore effects "tests." I'm not saying anything about the video's quality, which is perfectly fine as an effects test. Not trying to be smug; I know enough Blender to be able to know what I'm saying.

  • WOW thats so cool!

  • omg!

  • WOW

  • totally amazing!

  • Where do you get a program like this? O_o

  • Blender dot org

it's free and open source. In other words simply amazing

  • how do you make Fluid in blender?

  • what prog u use?

  • Woah. Great job. Some of these are really cool. Keep up the good work.

  • the 1 at 0:48 is the 1 that made me want to do fluid in blender so how did you do that dude?

  • how long it took you for all those animations?

  • did u use yafary for some of your textures?

  • the one at 0:35 is amazing

  • without Physx card?

  • can ANYONE help me with fluids? after i bake the domain with the fluid inside it, NOTHIN happens. ive followed a number of tutorials, and the samething happens each time.

  • nevermind, i got it.

  • :O w0w

  • Is there som chance you could upload a tutorial for one of those cool animations?? please! I am using Blender daily, but I've been stuck on this water simulation that I've been trying to make!

  • wow... that's super cool... do u know how to make a still image of water with blender?

  • theres probably better ways, but you can just set gravity very low and it still looks cool

  • Just render one single frame

  • that one with the striped square as it hits the cone is trippy

  • very cool..:P

  • much better than that lonelygirl stuff

  • I'm definitely gonna try out more stuff with blender.

    This is awesome!

  • WOW ! I have rendered a few things in blender but nothing like that. Cool !

  • Nice! I have been trying to do fluids in Blender, but it never works for some reason... >=(

  • It doesn't work for me neighter:(

  • I figured it out a couple days after i posted that, if you want i can help you with it.

my problem was i didn't set a bake directory

  • I made a penguin fluid test and its pretty cool lol

  • I think my problem is that my computer is too slow... but I'll get a new one this week:D

  • damn. ive seen so many blender fluid tests and demostrations - this ones probably one of the best, actually

i gotta get me that program!

coulda done with some music tho ;)

  • What i want to know is how long these took to render total.
