  • I thought the title was (SOMEWHERE OVER THE RAINBOW)??can someone please tell me how to get back to kansas!!??

  • Ironic that Judy died the same way as Elvis; bloated with drugs, squatting on the toilet.

  • I like the song and it is a moving video aupage, tragically sad .

  • she deserves better the this awful whiney song for the love of christ

  • @scott12061972 you wanna try finding a better one in the selection of songs youtube allows you to audioswap with?

  • @scott12061972 You are right. And whatever the problems are in dealing with YouTube's hoops to jump through, I think the bottom line is this question, not just regarding Judy, but all the stars here- from Harlow to Davis, the great silent stars, the legendary musical stars, etc.: Would the star in question enjoy the music selected, would the star approve of it, would the star say the musical selection is appropriate? In this case, as is so often, the answer is a resounding no.

  • @defundthewar I completely disagree. For a start, neither of us have any idea what Judy would have thought of this song, one can only assume. and secondly, there are millions of fan videos on youtube dedicated to actresses/singers with a variety of different music on them, and there should be so standard for what one can accompany their video with. It is up to the user, and in t his case I decided to put the best song I could find on youtube's selection, as I did not want to remove this video.

  • @JamesDeansGirl1 For a start, it is probable- and let's be honest- you are either a teenager or early 20s at most, and I have cufflinks older than you. Secondly, for those of us- myself included- who loved Judy BEFORE she died, yes, we do have a very clear and accurate idea of Judy's muscial tastes. Well, of course it is up to the person uploading YouTube, and I appreciate the video, but to those who have been around, a lot of these videos are better with the mute button on.

  • @defundthewar and it is up to the viewers discretion whether they wish to put the mute button on or not, I leave you the option. I am not a big fan of this song, but I think the lyrics are very fitting to the video. I also do not think our ages are relevant to this discussion.

  • @JamesDeansGirl1 Our ages matter, but you don't get it- not now. If somebody- in this case me- tells you that he has loved Judy Garland and her music for more than half a century, believe it... believe it that the music in question has zilch, nada, bubkes, niente, nothing whatsoever to do with the topic at hand, and more than that, something that Judy would roll her eyes at and turn off in two seconds. Judy had a great sense of style, sophistication, taste. In time, you may get it.. or not.

  • @defundthewar The lyrics DO have something to do with the topic at hand in my opinion - If you don't like the song, don't watch the video, or watch it muted and put Judy on in the background! I did not MAKE the video with this song, I made this with 'Somewhere over the Rainbow' and I know Judy would have appreciated this tribute to her. Discussion over.

  • @JamesDeansGirl1 There is an endless supply of songs to use that would have been appropriate, sung by Judy, and other great interperters of good popular music, but there's no way you could know that; you're not

curious. Discussion over, indeed. Don't explain Judy to me, and I won't explain Screamo to you.

  • @defundthewar Where?? I searched through all the music that Youtube offered at the time and there was nothing by Judy. If there was, I would have used it. LOL cause screamo is my favorite genre of music. riight.

  • Love the images ~ Judy not only had unique talent, she truly was lovely ~ but the audioswap is, well, yes, sorry.

  • She is so amazing. She's got grace and class. You don't see much of that nowadays. :)

  • Ya Beckyy3 there is no class left.Judy and her Daughter both knew class. How to shake it with out being PIGS. An art that is no longer with us.As many things are in this tired Country. We have let go of the things that make life fun and good. Even tho Judy had problems it was pushed on her she was not undercover looking for her drugs.Something never said when its said Oh poor Judy she was addicted MGM did it to her and they never paid for that Judy did by dying so young.

  • @pusspleaser134 yes i know they were true classy girls. Their ledges.

  • shes really beaautiful

  • lovely!

  • wow, 99 Gaga's wouldn't know reel music if Justin Bieber jumped up and slaped them in the face with Ke$ha. PATHETIC!!!

  • @Katielovescatsalot LMAO legend right there

  • Ha, looks like 98 Biebers were here. Ha, PATHETIC!!!

  • @JackMoranRain wow so funny

  • She's so cute! She had SO much talent!!!! WE NEED REAL STARS LIKE HER!!!!!!

  • Look at the 'Louise Florence' cover of this song!!!!!!! sweet jesus!!! unreal:O

  • so beautiful

  • sie ist soo schön :)

  • Sung by Sheena williams OVER THE RAINBOW very nicely done.

  • She was much more beautiful then the studios gave her credit for.

  • Is it just me or does she resemble marilyn monroe in some of these photos?

  • @twilightlover123x yes because those idiots thought that was what real beauty looked like. YEAH RIGHT! Real beauty is having something about you that's different from the rest of the world and not changing it or flaunting it. Judy looked and sounded beautiful before. Stupid studios screwed her up and got her addicted to drugs!

  • i am 13.. yet absolutley love this song..! :D

  • 1:54

  • I can't believe they gave her hormones to keep her small and cute, so sad :(

  • she really was beautiful wasnt she? who woulda guessed she had 3 abortions

  • @prettybunny17 Why do abortions make you ugly? Huh,ugly bunny?

  • She reminds me Marilyn a little at some photos. For example at 0:29 a lot.

  • Judy was a true jewel of the screen.

  • JUDY was a true Jewel of the screen.

  • What an amazing talent all rolled up in the 4'11" lgend. A fitting song for Judy.

  • ♪♫♥ !

  • She's stunning and only got more beautiful with age. I love her porcelain skin matched with her beautiful strawberry red locks. I agree, she does have a natural innocent beauty. Such a beautiful song for a beautiful woman. I love you Judy. Rest in Paradise and say hi to my Michael for me....

  • Music by Cari Cole, Heaven

  • shes so beautiful!!!

  • No hay ninguna versión original de J. Garland ?

  • one of the few women who can truly you to tears with just look or one note of a song.

  • RIP

  • who is singing this

  • she was and will always be gorgeous!

  • rainydays54321- thats what you called classic beauty....its rare.

    hehe

  • Used and abused by a system that ground up humans for their own wealth..

  • can anyone what song is this and whos singing??its beautiful

  • Totally. I'm so jealous of how beautiful they were.

  • This goes to prove that Judy was, in her prime, far more beautiful than either she or L.B. Meyer, who referred to her as his "little hunchback", realized.

  • Great shots that show that she was more beautiful she herself or LB Meyer, who referred to her openly as his "little hunchback", realized.

  • Ashley Judd has that look.

  • This is what the word "beautiful" really means :)

  • this is a tribute to women who worked so hard for fame and the system that oned them , used them to their ends. She was a true beauty and actress... RIP

  • Such a beautiful woman!!! Amazing! Nothing compared to these days!

  • What is the name of the beautiful song that was substituted?

  • Why did they remove it?

  • Very nice. Who is the audio?

  • I hate trickery like this. BE HONEST.

  • very talented - what a legend !

    - today was her birthday

  • Replacing Garland's "Over the Rainbow" is a joke in rotten taste.

  • Beautiful !

Thank you very much for posting

  • I love it !

    Beautiful !

Thank you very much for posting

  • Judy forever,!!!

  • i LOVE the picture at 1:54

  • this music makes no sense at all

  • wer singt dieses lied??? und wie heißt der titel ? den ich denke ma das iss nicht das was da steht XDD

  • okay, this is an odd comment.... but in brokeback mtn, the lady married to jack(?) had judy garland's eyelashes............at least to me.

  • I really love this song! whats the name of it and who sings it??

  • they removed the original song, but JamesDean fan chose a perfect replacement.

  • this is a great tribute to judy garland but may i ask where you got the picture at 1:55 ?? ive been looking for it EVERYWHERE but i cant seem to find it! your reply would be very much appreciated(: thank you!

  • @kimruschewskih

What's wrong with you, better said. She died in 1969...age 47.

  • Judy!! She is the most beautiful!!

  • If she was alive today and the Wizard had been made in 2008 she would be very big, she would be a pop star, putting out records, she would be a health freak, doing a thousand abs per day. Drugs? Never!! She would be clean. And a sex symbol.

  • when is she born?

  • this song is beautiful!

  • can someone please make a mediafire for this!!!!!!!!!! and email me!!

  • what song?

  • I love the song, what's it?

  • I love judy <3

  • Judy was so beautiful...but so unappreciated...poor thing :-(

  • i know guys <3 <3

  • Also check out Cari Cole's version of A Million Kisses

  • Cari Cole / Heaven

  • I love this song!

  • She was so inoccently beautiful.

  • so what is the name of this song???

  • "Heaven" by Cari Cole

  • This was back in the day when the world had REAL superstars, unlike these days where anyone who is remotely famous is considered to be a star. At least back when the likes of Judy and Marilyn were alive, they earnt the title of a superstar.

  • @beckyy3 And Justin Bieber is a living proof.

  • @beckyy3 I absolutely agree. Women actually had to work to be famous. Now you've got Snooky and the Kardashian sisters and you wonder, what the hell are they famous for? What did THEY do themselves that made them so damn popular? Kim had a sex tape and a couple pictures of her naked body in playboy and snooky had the bump in her hair and a punch to the face? no class -_-

  • @Ganymede1moon They're famous for being drunken sluts.

  • did she also play the girl from miracle on 34th street?

  • No, that was Natalie Wood, another great loss.

  • oh ok ty for you're non sarcastic answer i was afraid i would get those lol

  • Seriously, I was not being sarcastic. I really thought that Natalie Wood was the young star in Miracle on 34th Street. No harm intended. If I am wrong, I am sorry.

  • o i was saying thanks for NOT being sarcastic i was saying you were being sarcastic lol

  • @odisus69 No, you're right. It was Natalie Wood in Miracle on 34th St. :)

  • to odisus69 - when they were young, Judy Garland and Natalie Wood did look similar, didn't they?

  • My idol.

  • El nombre de la cancion es 'Somewhere Over The Rainbow'.

  • Comment removed

  • cual es el nombre de la cancion?

  • SOUNDS ASS GOOD AS EVER!!

  • i love her soooooo much!the wizard of oz is my all time favorite move!!!my great-grandmother loved the movie, and so did my grandmother, and also my own mom...and now ME!

  • in some pictures, she kind of resembles emma watson...maybe? i don't know. in the face, though. Not body-wise...

    I love this song!

  • i was thinking the exact same thing

  • Comment removed

  • I love this song! Its one of my new favorites!!!!! : o )

  • What ever..

  • the good die young

  • what happend to this girl

  • she had a terrible drug overdose because her managers kept giving her drugs to keep up her bust schdule and she died at 12 days after she turned 47

  • whats that song called

  • Heaven, by Cari Cole.

  • I love the music!

  • does anyone else think that women 50 years ago just have that look to them, like that sophisticated look, like marilyn monroe and judy garland just have 'that' beauty that women today dont have, no matter how beautiful they are.

  • Almost everyone looks fake nowadays.

  • the ideals of beauty have progressively evolved into an overly self conscious obsession with the body which has resulted in vulgar over emphasis of the human form..ie..fake over inflated fat lips, over inflated breasts, unnatural weight reduction, etc...

They didnt have all of that bio-technology so only the true natural beauties made it to the screen.

  • I agree. There's a "classic" beauty about women like Garland, Audrey Hepburn and the like that women today just don't have. I really wish that we could go back to those times because stars looked so much more natural then, rather than "manufactured" as they so often do now.

  • @rainydays54321 Women these days still have that look. Scarlett Johanssen, for one. Definitely. A lot of why we feel that way is the old looking pictures and film we see them in. If we saw them in real life they wouldn't look as classic.

  • @Murderith7 A few women have the look these days, but most women don't. Even if you look at old news-reals and photographs of ladies who were not famous, just everyday women, they look more polished. There hair had to be a certain way, their clothes and makeup were classy and pulled together. Nowadays they mostly look like a mess. It's not just women though, men don't wear the suits and look as groomed as they used to either, it's more casual, peope even wear shorts and flip flops to church.

  • Yeah, the 60's changed all of that too. People, especially women, didn't curse back then either. There was a premium on class that, for the most part, just doesn't exist any more.

  • @Murderith7 I disagree, Scarlet Johanssen does NOT have that look. But I do agree some, even though VERY few, have that "look" to them

  • @rainydays54321

it just seemed like the world was a better place pre-1950s. american specifically

  • @rainydays54321

like almost magically or story or movie like

  • @rainydays54321 No, I think makeup helps alot.

  • @rainydays54321 It's true to many examples to even list Different gene stock The Species is a general decline There was an honesty sincerity natural healthy beauty It's all been corrupted by greed ignorance hate envy technology Egocentric mania Is the trauma and it's only going to get worse Be so very thankful that we carry the memories that we were there And know it was real Soon we to are going to be gone What a pathetic horrible world it's becoming
  • judy my love. you left us too long. we never got to have lemondrops together, hahahaha<33333 rest in peace Frances

  • carpet licker

  • I love this song also!

  • i <3 this girl and no actress even anne hathaway can replace her (but she would be good to play her maybe)

  • She died way too young!

  • in her younger pictures, she looks like my cousin!!

    seriously!!!!!

  • does anyone think it might be possible that if anyone did a movie about judy garland, anne hathaway would be an excellent choice to play her?

  • Yeah :]

  • Anne Hathaway is going to play her in a movie next year. keep your eyes open for it...

  • sooooo true!

  • such a pretty face :)

  • Very beautiful words and song that match the beauty and spirit that was Judy Garland! I can really feel her spirit and close to God at the same time. A great appreciation for God's creation.

  • Nice song. ^-^

  • i always thought she was underrated for her looks when she was younger. she was very pretty.

  • sadly judy died at the age of 47 :(

  • Yes, and I wasn't yet born. I wish she had lived on longer and I could have "known" her more. I watch things from the past to understand the kind of person she was. Lots of pain obviously with the drug use. Sad end to her life.

  • love her :)

  • god bless u judy garland

  • Toto has pulled the curtain back, and the wizard is not who we thought he was. The Straw man looked within himself and found his brain. The Tin man looked within himself and found his heart. The Lion looked within himself and found courage. America looked within herself and found freedom.

Let Freedom Ring! Let Freedom Ring! Let Freedom Ring!

  • It is always prudent not to go too far when comparing one entertainer to another, although i admit that it seems some comparisons are both useful and entertaining, especially the really off the wall ones!

  • Very nice tribute to Ms. Judy.

  • i missed her!

  • beautiful at 1:08!

  • what's the name of this song?

  • Heaven by Cari Cole
