  • You really got to love that music. So many great tunes in these old games while modern games tend to go for generic music.

  • I totally agree with you on that. Back in the day game developers had to make their own music. Seeing that games sold themselves through gameplay and graphics, the music aspect was free to explore, unrestrained by popular opinion.

    Some of the best music of our era was introduced through music. Take Super Mario Bros, Contra, and Chun-Li's theme in SF2 for example. Nevermind all those JRPG themes... that would take forever to praise.
