I have a 3rd gen Jetta sitting in my driveway right now. Love that thing.  Hell, i love Vw's in general, great small cars. I really hope they keep the European feel with the next redesign.

No it wasn't. I owned at 96 Mk III for 12 years, and now own a MK V. The Mk IV (99-05) is nowhere near the best looking Jetta.

I just had to sell my '01 VR6 (couldn't keep up with the constant computer system maintenance that started popping up after the car hit 120K) and am looking for something to replace it with. the worst thing a car company can do is to sell a product that has not been tried and tested... they need to expose these vehicles to different terrain and climate to see how they would perform, also to make minor tweaks on suspensions and other stuff that may need attention before the cars roll out of assembly.
