  • o_O :::.. You're amazing , I love JS Bach's little fugue ,& you are so beautiful !!!!!!! I'm in love whit you !!! :3

  • I love JS Bach and the ocarina. To have both together is wonderful. You are an amazing player.

  • Speachless... That was beautiful. Cheers

P.S. is the Ocarina hard to learn/use, I know it can't be "easy" by any means but like scale of 1-10 how difficult is it to learn to play those things. And again that was amazing.

  • Perfect like clockwork

  • My favorite Bach work. Very nice indeed.

  • That was really good.

  • Wow!!! Excellent job! Bach would be proud!!

  • Amazing.. :D

  • @thedrumbum1990 thank you!

  • very nice

  • @ThaProblem100

    Thank you! :)

  • Incredible! I only play a little mountain ocarina in the key of G, so I'm very impressed with your talent!

  • My favorite piece of classical music played on my favorite instrument!

  • this is cool =)

  • I had to log on just to say that was great.

Somewhere in heaven, Bach is smiling.

  • @sbuffalonative Thank you! That's like the best compliment ever :)

  • wow great job! this has a really eerie sound on the ocarina

  • That was a very lovely performance. I love the sound of the Ocarina and you play very very well. Ocarinas resonates very nicely with you.

  • Thank you!

  • Wonderfully done!

Could you possibly share the sheet music you used for this? My college is doing open mic this semester next month, and I would LOVE to perform this piece! :o

  • I'm sorry I'm just getting back to you. I actually learned this by ear so I don't have sheet music.

  • omg u r so awsome i just got one and i'm so entering the contest!!!!

  • Thanks and good luck!

  • have u noticed that u dont blink wen u lpay

    o.0

    but still good job

  • I was concentrating really hard LOL

  • First piece of baroque music i've heard on the ocarina, thought it worked well. Your control of pitch is way better than some i've heard, due good breath control technique on your part. I'm a recorder player and have just started to look at the ocarina, your video definitely encorages me to have ago.

  • Thank you!

Did you ever pick up the ocarina? If so I hope you're enjoying it :)

  • ridiculously awesome.

  • Thanks :)

  • Bach's organ work is great. He may not have been the best composer for other work, but on the organ, he was nothing short of a master. You did a great job bring this piece to the ocarina.

  • Thank you :)

  • @Jesses001 Who told you Bach "was not a master for other work", are you kidding? Bach is the beginning and the end of all music.

  • @michel6 Lol, just my opinion. I found his orcastrated work to be very limited compared to his organ work. He seemed to follow the "rules" ofthe Baroque period outside of organ work. I can not argue much with a Bach fan though, lol.

  • @Jesses001 You are telling wrong information about Bach's work, this is not a matter of being or not fan of Bach. I am a fan and I do not deny it. But I play musical instruments for 27 years and the opinion mentioned below is not true. You seem to know little about Bach's music, orchestration, counterpoint and other subtle and very unique means of composition. Bach is considered the master of improvisation, fugue and created many odd harmonic stuff that never was done before at his time. Cheers.

  • @michel6 It is hard to get information wrong if I did not give any. I just felt he seemed less limited when on the organ. This is an opinion, defently not a fact. Lets not argue on weather he was a music god or just god-like. It is a silly argument. In fact, he never did live long enough to finish that last book for the organ, so we never did get to hear his best. What a shame.

  • great job! wish i had a double so i could play this! a little airy on the high notes, but still awesome sauce choice!

  • Thank you!

  • Very very cool!

  • Thank you very much!! And thank you again for the lovely ocarina. When I record with it, I'll be sure to send the video your way so you can see how much I'm enjoying it!!

This is a killer video, but the fans are respectfully requesting better volume control throughout the videos.

  • Aw thanks! LOL.

I'll message you about volume control. I definitely want to hear your thoughts.

  • grrrr ive always loved this song and have wanted to play it on the oc for a while...but i dont got no double...T_T

  • This was ok. Now if you posted a vid of you playing both parts at the same time, that would be awesome! (jk! It was awesome)

  • LOL Thanks!

  • please Smile :(

  • Sorry - I was a little preoccupied! :P

  • Incredible!

This has always been my favorite piece of music, and you certainly did a fine job of interpreting it on the ocarina. Thanks for uploading this.

  • Thanks! I'm really glad you liked it :)

  • this is SO favorited

  • ^_^ Thank you!

  • I like very much! You inspire me =]

by the way is that a samson CO1U USB mic? Because I am thinking of buying one and wondering what your take on it is.

Also, what program do you use for making a split video such as this?

  • You make it seem easy, the way you play it so flawlessly, no wonder you won the competition...much belated congrats :)

  • Aw, thanks. : )

  • you play this piece very well, and i've added it to my must-learn list already.

by the way, congratulation that you won the competition. i knew it recently from STL website.

  • Thank you very much!

  • Wow this is really incredible! No wonder you won the competition :) .. You should play something from Chopin! hehe.

  • Thank you - there is a piece by Chopin that I want to learn soon, the Nocturne in E Flat Major! =D

  • Congrats on winning that competition! That was great, by the way.

  • Thank you very much! Now I have more time, so I will try to make videos more often! : D

  • yeah!! this is rock!!! but have you a twin? XD

  • A well deserved win! Contratulations!

  • Congratulations on winning the competition! I knew you could do it!

  • Thank you so much. I'm so happy right now!!

  • Heh... I would imagine that you'd be pretty happy! ^_^

What is first prize? A Purple Clay Triple, I believe? If so, just be sure to make lots of videos with it! (I'll be competing in next year's competition.)

  • no first place is a tripple ocarina $500.00 and recording opertunites

  • That was absolutely beautiful. You're totally going to win :)

  • Thanks!

  • Wow. Wonderful.

  • Thank you!

  • I can imagine very clearly this piece being played on a harpsichord. I wish you the very best of luck with winning! You're my favorite among all of the entries I've seen.

  • Wow, thank you very much - there are lots of other really good entries, so that's quite a compliment!

  • Great!!!

  • Thank you very much!

  • That was just soooooooo good!

  • Wow something different is going on in each headphone... hehe very nice playing. Good luck in the competition! 5 stars.

  • Thank you!

  • You have no idea how happy I am to see that you played this on the ocarina. Very recently I was actually wondering what it might sound like on an ocarina; now I know, and it sounds beautiful! The Little Fugue is my absolute favorite of Bach's compositions. And you really did it justice!

  • Wow, that's awesome, I'm glad I could help. Thanks for sharing that with me! :D

  • Hey, how did you get stereo? For some reason all the videos I upload become mono, even though the original file is in stereo. I thought it was a youtube thing, but now I think maybe I am doing something wrong.

  • I used Windows Movie Maker with a stereo track. I noticed it on one of my older videos because the accompaniment was coming from one speaker and the ocarina was coming from another. At that time - I was live recording the accompaniment straight onto the track rather than just listening to a monitor source - so one channel was accomp and the other was ocarina.

Unless you're mixing down to mono - you should be getting stereo..

Message me if you want more info.

  • Sensational! I wish that my old computer had the technology to make split screens, two part harmonies etc. Between all the insturments and musical sounds that I make, I could have five parts up here! Thank you for the sub.....

  • Your talent is amazing - thank you for sharing it with Youtube!

  • Great!

  • Wow, thank you!!! It means a lot, coming from you!

  • Oh that's such a wonderful idea, to play Bach on the ocarina! To think I have tons of piano sheet music and it never came into my head to use it for the oc!

Beautifully performed (as always ;-) )!

  • Thank you! I know what you mean - I'm always trying to find good music for ocarina. Some people on youtube are nice enough to share their backtracks, which is a big help!

  • Nicely done and such a great performance =D

  • Thank you very much!

  • Beautifully done!

I think you have a very good chance in the contest!

I wish you all the best

  • Thanks!

  • Great performance!! 5 stars.

  • Thank you!

  • Wow that is fantastic! I need to learn to read music this well... I always try/end up playing by ear...

  • Believe it or not, I also play by ear - now that I'm finished with my contest entry, I plan to spend more time learning to read sheet music!

  • Ooh, nice stereo panning! You played very well! Both parts seemed very in tune with each other!

  • Incredible!!!!, are you profesional? the change of the chamber you execute perfect.

    Very very, well played

Sorry I don't speak inglish very well

  • I am not a professional, but thank you very much for the compliments. If I could find a way to make a living by playing ocarina, that would definitely be my idea of a dream job!!

  • Amazing playing technique. Bravo!

  • Thank you very much - I'm a huge fan of your work!

  • BRAVO!!!!

  • This is addictive to watch!
