This is the best envelope follower I own, and I own six of them!!! It has the most "natural" sound and is easy to dial-in a great sound with, which is saying a lot for this type of effect!

but I don't really see the point of envelope filters generally, I mean, you could make that exact same sound with a wah. I think wahs are a much more natural way of doing it, the innate control of a wah makes it much easier to get the dersired sound, i think....

Yes but an envelope filter can be set to have different sweeps and tones and is a lot more consistent than trying to rock something back and forth with your foot.
