i have a friend, her cousin goes to school in china, starts at 8 am and ends at 4 pm, and no school on the weekends and they get holidays too. if yu listen in class then the homework is very easy and theres only 32 ppl in her class. they run laps around the school everyday to maintain a healthy lifestyle and shes in the band, foods class and table tennis club. its not that bad. considering my classmates are having sex and doing drugs.

You should know the acupuncture points around the eyes, and make right movements. If you really want to do eye excercises, I suggest you following the excercise music. It writes ”眼保健操配乐“. Just google it or baidu it.

jeez...believe me it's nothing to do with manipulation - it's morning exercises for god's sake, perhaps if we did that in britain we wouldn't have as many fat kids around. the exercises are great, they make you feel good, i've taken part many times in them, while i was working the state schools of Dalian, Liaoning Province, China.
I did this during my school days too. Now I found it is actually very good, because I do not like excercise and after school I seldom excercise. The excercises and PE classes we had when we were young are very good for our health and body. See how fat the western kids are now. There is a big playground in every school in China, kids can play freely during class breaks and after school as well.
Why not give them a play ground and let them play?
They are kids you know they should be allowed to have fun and it will teach them to use their imaginations and give a better workout?
This might be why they're not inventive anymore and instead simply copy because creativity and individuality is stamped at a young age.
Over all I think this does the Chinese a lot more harm then good as having a cheap and organized workforce won't get you far when robots and rapid prototyping get more advanced.
Sure, let's give the kids a choice. Go outside and exercise or stay inside watch TV or play the wii. If you're in primary or middle school, what'd you choose? By the obesity rate of the US youth, I'd say they chose to be more "creative" and couldn't be bothered to move their fat asses.
Creativity is good, but sometimes children needs to be forced to do certain things for their own good, even if they don't realize it at the time. ie. doing their homework or playing a video game.
Membrane556 -China is one of the most creative countries in the world. You just need to see their artwork. Paintings, film, performing arts. Lots of Chinese artists are awarded international prizes for original work! In the UK over the last 10 years, children were taught to be "creative". Now we have a generation of children who cannot read, write or do basic maths. The UK are now re-emphasizing the 3 R's, and introducing vocational courses for the less academic. There is no perfect system!

wow amazing :o I know a Chinese girl who is currently on university and still has to run a few laps before the classes start. This should exist in every school, it's a good way to start the day, I think :D

Well, you also gotta remember that America is also a very individualized country. Go to a public school and make a bunch of kids to exercise all at once -fresh, bright, and early - and SOMEBODY'S PARENTS might have a cow, might even call it "inconstitutional"! LOL
The U.S. is gonna need a very revolutionary approach or two to "get back in shape" again...but it's not an impossible feat.

jeez...believe me it's nothing to do with manipulation - it's morning exercises for god's sake, perhaps if we did that in britain we wouldn't have as many fat kids around. the exercises are great, they make you feel good, i've taken part many times in them, while i was working the state schools of Dalian, Liaoning Province, China.

I did this during my school days too. Now I found it is actually very good, because I do not like excercise and after school I seldom excercise. The excercises and PE classes we had when we were young are very good for our health and body. See how fat the western kids are now. There is a big playground in every school in China, kids can play freely during class breaks and after school as well.

Why not give them a play ground and let them play?
They are kids you know they should be allowed to have fun and it will teach them to use their imaginations and give a better workout?
This might be why they're not inventive anymore and instead simply copy because creativity and individuality is stamped at a young age.
Over all I think this does the Chinese a lot more harm then good as having a cheap and organized workforce won't get you far when robots and rapid prototyping get more advanced.

Sure, let's give the kids a choice. Go outside and exercise or stay inside watch TV or play the wii. If you're in primary or middle school, what'd you choose? By the obesity rate of the US youth, I'd say they chose to be more "creative" and couldn't be bothered to move their fat asses.
Creativity is good, but sometimes children needs to be forced to do certain things for their own good, even if they don't realize it at the time. ie. doing their homework or playing a video game.

Membrane556 -China is one of the most creative countries in the world. You just need to see their artwork. Paintings, film, performing arts. Lots of Chinese artists are awarded international prizes for original work! In the UK over the last 10 years, children were taught to be "creative". Now we have a generation of children who cannot read, write or do basic maths. The UK are now re-emphasizing the 3 R's, and introducing vocational courses for the less academic. There is no perfect system!

Its about teaching conformity, training kids to follow orders without question. If you can get people to do stupid shit like this, then you can get them to run people down in tanks and machine gun protesters.

I always had to do every little thing cause I was short and had to stand in the front T_T And some of the moves my school developed was reallllly embarrassing...and the uniforms XDD good old china school uniforms~LOL. My school's was PURPLE! With a really ugly YELLOW strip on the arm and leg! GAHHH!!!At least the students in the vid had blue and white...

I used to think these "15min exercises" were kind silly when I was young, so my friends and I used to try every excuse possible to skip. Now looking back, I actually feel this is a very good idea to at least force some activities into teenagers. Wish I had taken them more seriously!
