If you're running a 24" or smaller monitor, this card will suffice. It gives you a lot of bang for your buck. For these mugs crying "the GTX280 etc is better than this shi-!" Learn about computers, fools. Yes Nvidia has PhysX & Cuda, but they're not nescessary. And ATi > Nvidia for price VS performance. This is a sweet, and i'm gonna pick one up when i get paid :)

nice graphics card, have one with 1GB VRAM and runs just great!

only the fans are way too noisy in the turbo mode, run at 50% all the time...

but with automatic underclocking and also reducing fan speed on the desktop its perfect, during a game with sound turned on you wont notice the fans running at 60 to 70%.

great card, just go and buy one! you wont regret it ;)

but this is not that important important is only the performance and the temps under load when the nvidia gpus needs lower clockspeeds an ammount of alus to get good results in benchmarks what is wrong with that??? it shows only that ati needs more alus higher clocks to have same or nearly same results as nividia with lower one...could this mean that nvidia has the better gpus?????

260 isnt better!! I have this 4870 and ive played with a 260 and nearly the same configs as with the 4870, and the 4870 is much better!! Colours are better, fps are better and it has only 36-45°C (97°-115°F)

as long as ure mobo supports PCI-e x16 then yes and yu should have a 500watt power supply minimum. Also make sure you have a lot of cooling! more cooling, the better! i have the same mobo as you ;) (sli though)
