Look, the reality is that we have a progressive income tax, where the higher one's income, the larger portion they pay in taxes. Once you start making more than a few hundred thousand dollars a year, you find yourself paying half of it in taxes. If that's not paying your fair share, then what is? I agree that tax loopholes and special deals need to be eliminated, but the basic tax structure is such that the rich are pretty much paying all the taxes in this country.
I'm fine with having a reasoned conversations with intelligent individuals on differences of opinion.
But what I took issue with is your characterization of Warren looking and sounding like "a crazy woman," or that of her points constituting "class warfare." Compared to what?

I support the spirit of this message, but I think it misses two key points.
1. Warren is running in MA, not hard to win if you're blue. Not impossible to lose, Martha did it a couple of years ago. But with a good campaign and cohesive message, it should be a whale in a barrel.
2. Relatedly, Obama is responsible for the FEDERAL executive. He has to respond to constituents in 50 states.
That said, I agree that Obama's change in gameplan is long overdue. But TYT should address these issues.

Look, the reality is that we have a progressive income tax, where the higher one's income, the larger portion they pay in taxes. Once you start making more than a few hundred thousand dollars a year, you find yourself paying half of it in taxes. If that's not paying your fair share, then what is? I agree that tax loopholes and special deals need to be eliminated, but the basic tax structure is such that the rich are pretty much paying all the taxes in this country.

I support the spirit of this message, but I think it misses two key points.
1. Warren is running in MA, not hard to win if you're blue. Not impossible to lose, Martha did it a couple of years ago. But with a good campaign and cohesive message, it should be a whale in a barrel.
2. Relatedly, Obama is responsible for the FEDERAL executive. He has to respond to constituents in 50 states.
That said, I agree that Obama's change in gameplan is long overdue. But TYT should address these issues.

Too brutally honest for public office? Perhaps. Because our system is currently built upon sucking up to the rich and huge corporations. And telling them that they are no longer THE Priority puts them on the defensive and makes them cry "class warfare."
I hope that she is not only elected, but I also hope she keeps fighting for the regular people (real regular people and not some tea bagger misfit),. and that she influences others like her to run & actually change the system.
