@Abby6786 Probably the next best thing would be Brewer's Yeast. You should be able to order the Hickory Flavored Yeast from the Adventist Book Center online. If they don't have it on their website call the 800 number and order it over the phone. They can mail it to you. Possibly Amazon might carry it. If you need help finding the book center let me know.
Soooo good! I've tried several combinations of ingredients, without getting the 'sharp' parmesan taste. Thankyou for introducing me to citric acid. It makes all the difference. Now I eat it daily :)
This looks great and the name "Parma Jon" is very clever and made me smile! I'm definitely going to give it a try once I can find the Bakon yeast, which I've never even seen.
Also, Jon says "Ascorbic acid" but the subtitles say "citric acid." I assume either would work?
Is there anything else I can use besides dakon hickory flavored because here it's impossible to find. Thanks
