Umm, the english subtitles aren't exactly accurate, but I guess artistic license was taken to get the rhyming done?

@ShadyKitsune as I already pointed out in Finnish, these aren't subtitles. Even the title of the video says "English lyrics" not "English subtitles". This is one translation of the lyrics and when poetry is being translated, it's rarely word for word.

@drawkward234 In Canada's anthem, the French anthem has stayed the same since the beginning of the country (in other words, it is the original). The English version is the newer one and before it was changed, it matched almost perfectly with the French part of the anthem that we have today.
