I dn't know why people seem to have this perception that you must have hated the original song to love the cover, but I don't think that's an open way of thinking - I love both. I love this cover, but I still love the original (sung by Kate Winslet).

@MoonBabeCharm But he has done it justice, more than, and also been more than a match for the fabulous Idina too. it is a sensational duet which is so good it could well turn out to be the definitive version of this song. Not very nice to post u dislike the singer therefore- to put so much expression in it he has got to have a sensitive soul and stuff like that hurts.

I only came here because I love Idina (I never really liked Rhydian much when he was on xfactor), but actually, this is a really great duet. Their voices go well together.

One of my top favourites by Rhydian. Always technically perfect but here the heart seems to be fully engaged too. Love it! Interesting that the theme is the same as the circumstance that birthed MYFANNWY- they never knew and in that case it was too late because she had died. Henry James's 'The Beast in the Jungle' short story dramatises the same theme.

I think that they're both great! Just different! I love both Idina and Kate (I don't know who Rhydian is, but he's really great too!)

And yeah, Kate's is going to sound different than Idina's...Idina is a Broadway belter, and Kate's not a professional singer, although she has sung in several roles. I love both versions! <3

I just listened to Kate's version and I must say I prefer Rhydian's version. He is simply amazing, and this duet is just much stronger, packed with emotions in the voices. Kate's voice is a bit weak IMO.
