and yeah you'll need a wi-fi connection for it.

you can use it at any access point though, often mcdonalds has them lol you'll have to se it up with a wi-fi game first though!

okay i got .4 version and i tried patching it so i can use emoticons and avatars but it didnt work!

you dont need to patch anything to use emoticon and avatars...

just drag and drop the beup folder inside the .zip you downloaded into the root of your sd card.

just the flash card. you can download the internet browser with a patch too so you can go surf the web on ur ds without the expansion pack.

i have a r4 and beup, I saw in some sites that microssoft changed something... so all the versions until now can't connect... IS there any way of working, or a fixed version?

Just google BEup and you'll find the application there and like what miket has said, you just drag and drop the files.

You just have to unzip it first with winrar. Easy. But this is if you're using the R4 of course.

However, it doesn't seem to work anymore. When I'm connecting and it says "Authenticating ..." Then it says SSL Failure. It does the handshake fine though.

ok everyone. the R4DS is a flash card which uses Micro SD cards as memory. They are a DS game sized cartridge that fits into the slot one of your DS.

this MSN program is an example of homebrew. homebrew is classed as a home made game which can be used on consoles with modchips, flashcards etc. someone has created this MSN homebrew to specifically run on Nintendo DS flashcards.

no installation or anything, just drag and drop files.

you have to search for them, double tap the SSID thing twice and then wi-fi connections appear.

choose yours then you can use the program. but its really buggy, barely really works for me lol

its just a homebrew program, put it anywhere on the micro SD card then you can choose it when you load ur your DS :)

you needed to put the folders that you downlaoded onto the card too. there is a folder in the beup folder called emoticons and that needs to be there so that you can see them.

i've only ever used beup as a wi-fi homebrew app... i dont think they work well to be honest, at least not yet anyways.

then again the last time i checked up on the homebrew scene was about 4 months ago. at the mo i'm all about wii homebrew

you need a microSD card to store stuff on it, otherwise you just wasted $50.

you HAVE to use a micro SD memory card. its the only thing that will fit in there. + the memory card can be a 2GB max i think, because any higher are classed as a HCSD (high capacity SD) rather than a FAT formatted disk.

I would reccomened the cyclods. Check it out on google, Ive got one and a 4gb memory card, I think it supports all micro sd and microsdhc cards (high capacity).

its just a matter of making a program which enables you to do that. + there would be a need for friend codes ETC otherwise the whole thing would be crazy with thousands of people talking at once right?

heyy you know any where to find saved r4 ds games i found some but it says fix the archive and i dont know how

i'm unsure where to find saves for it. the only saves that i can find are ones called .DUC instead of .SAV

i think that the names of the save game and the game rom need to be the same for it to work, and from the same region too.

if that doesnt work then i'm guessing that a game has its own unique save file code or something,
