I fully understand the premise. How the whole town is a little off. I still don't find it all that funny. But that's okay. It's just my opinion. I'm glad that Canadians have a show that they can all get behind.

For God's sake! The overwhelming majority of Americans and Canadians are honest, decent people who love their country. Both countries have dark moments from their past and constantly trashing each other over and over again over a TV show is utterly ridiculous! If you like the show, great. If you don't move on. It's not life and death. Geez. That being said, I still don't understand the fuss over this show, but I have to admit that clip was damned funny.

I think in order to fully apreciate it you would have to live in saskatchewan(where I happen to live). The town of dog river reminds me so much of my fathers home town quill lake. The people act the exact same as the characters on the show. I wouldn't really say the show describes canada in general, because we are a diverse country.
We have lots of worlds biggest things in Australia including the worlds biggest pineapple, banana, ram(male sheep), prawn, rocking horse, orange etc... I think there's over a thousand.

It's corny, and broad and at times obvious, but it's also a gentle satire on how "big city folks" see their country brethren.
Well-acted, well-written, and within it's limitations (nothing cruel, no profanity, etc) it's an excellent show.
And compared to 90% of the dross that the US ships out as "TV entertainment" it's a master-piece.

not even close. A great show? Yes. A huge void since Seinfield? Maybe. A successor to Seinfeld, no freakin way. Seinfeld stands on its own as king of a style of sitcom that is now dead. Corner Gas is a part (not leading) a new brand of comedy. (RIP the laugh track)

I saw this episode when it came out. when i heard brent i though he said "hole" but...it was "hoe" i laughed when i heard hank talkin nothing bought ideas.Hanks ideas never turn out the way he wants them to be.
