  • It's corny, and broad and at times obvious, but it's also a gentle satire on how "big city folks" see their country brethren.

Well-acted, well-written, and within it's limitations (nothing cruel, no profanity, etc) it's an excellent show.

And compared to 90% of the dross that the US ships out as "TV entertainment" it's a master-piece.

  • BAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!

This is one of funniest parts of the show lol

  • "Crack hoe"

    God, I love this show.

  • I fully understand the premise. How the whole town is a little off. I still don't find it all that funny. But that's okay. It's just my opinion. I'm glad that Canadians have a show that they can all get behind.

  • ur not canadian are you?

  • Classic clip and truly hilarious.

The timing , delivery, and facial expressions are brilliant

  • WOW I didn't know that this was a channel, I'm subscribing in 2 seconds

  • I love this show, but I live in Toronto and everyone is bashing it. And most of them haven't even seen an episode!

  • I love this show. I hardly ever get a chance to see it on tv anymore. Where I live in the US it comes on at 1:30am. I share a dormroom with someone, so I can't stay up to watch it. After watching a few episodes I couldn't get enough. I have the first season on dvd. And working to get the other seasons.

  • For God's sake! The overwhelming majority of Americans and Canadians are honest, decent people who love their country. Both countries have dark moments from their past and constantly trashing each other over and over again over a TV show is utterly ridiculous! If you like the show, great. If you don't move on. It's not life and death. Geez. That being said, I still don't understand the fuss over this show, but I have to admit that clip was damned funny.

  • umm..havnt u herd? this is pretty much the #1 Canadian tv show ever! so, yeah, you should understand the fuss.

  • I HAVE heard that it is the #1 Canadian show, and I reiterate, I fail to see the big deal. I have seen full episodes now, and the show is just not that funny to me. I can completely understand if people up north think it is funny and perhaps it speaks more to Canadian sensibilities, but honestly, aside from that clip, I just don't find it all that great. That's just my opinion. I'm not knocking it because it is Canadian, either. I love Flashpoint.

  • I think in order to fully apreciate it you would have to live in saskatchewan(where I happen to live). The town of dog river reminds me so much of my fathers home town quill lake. The people act the exact same as the characters on the show. I wouldn't really say the show describes canada in general, because we are a diverse country.

  • living in Alberta works too. I used to work at a small gas station even. this show is almost what my life was. I have all the seasons on dvd! HA!

  • Lol A Big Dirty Hoe

  • Never been a CG episode i didnt piss myself laughing. (its a metaphor) so funny!

  • hahaha crack ho...hahaha lacey, lmao

  • a hoe, a big dirty hoe, a big dirty crack hoe!

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA

    GOD BLESS THESE WRITERS!!!

    best episode yet!!

  • a giant shrimp yes

  • man am i gonna miss corner gas

  • Are they getting cancelled or something?

  • uuhhhh ya this is the finally season they annouced that the sixth season will be the final one way back in april suprised u didn't know that

  • I'm in the U.S. Most people here haven't heard of Corner Gas. It mostly airs at 11pm. My dad and I caught it by accident once, and that's the only way I heard of it. I've been a fan since then, but most people I ask have no idea what Corner Gas is.

  • ya up here in Canada and Saskatchewan were Corner Gas is filled it is huge! everyone watches it! some people are such big fans they even leave work early on mondays so they are home early enough to watch the new episode

  • One of the funniest episodes of CG!

Wonder how many takes it took before they didn't break out laughing.

One of the best shows on TV ~ new ones or reruns.

  • Worlds biggest hoe, crack hoe, dirty hoe! This show is amazing

  • ive been to dog river (rouleau) and theres no hoe bot everything else is there and oscar and emmas house is actuallt pink

  • hillarious! I love this show so much I spit every time I here Wullerton!

  • me 2!

  • Looks like a pencil attached to a shovel head lol.

  • "now its the worlds largest dirty hoe"

XD one of the best quotes of the series, and that's hard to accomplish

  • damn, i screwed up the quote, but you all get what i was trying to say

  • I live in moose jaw saskatchewan

  • Corner Gas is epic win :)

  • We love your show it is very funny.

  • crack hoe haha lol

  • funny..we have the worlds largest treecrusher

  • Is that kid Joe Pesci's son?

  • big dirty hoe, lol

  • 'now it's a big dirty hoe...' the play on words is just so classic. 'crack hoe..' makes this show head and shoulders above soooo many others.

  • Haha Thats funny.

  • Great, great TV show. I'm so glad we can see this on WGN in the States now.

  • i live 45 mins. away from were they make corner gas

  • Lol, Willerton *spits* I joke I joke, I live in Saskatchewan too man! High five!

  • ya wanna be friends?

  • I LOVE THIS SHOW!!!

  • Gah, I wish Corner Gas wouldn't end!

    *depressive mode*

  • this ones called worlds biggest thing

  • Haha Great Big Dirty Crack Hoe. The funniest episode is The Good Old Table Hockey Game.

  • anybody know where to download the background music on this?

  • i love this episode^^

  • If anybody makes it to Rouleau, donate money to help them build one. They were actually considering it last August, so help them get it done.

  • :( im going to miss this show so so so so much :'(

  • what's happening to it? o_O

  • Brent wants to end it on a high note. He wants

to end it befour it gets old.

  • Oh, thanks for the info, I did some research after you said it... Pity, but I guess it's better than the show taking a story/writing quality dive for the sake of continuing... Weird though, second[that I'm aware of] big canadian comedy show to announce it;s retirement in within the next few yewars... :-/

    -Daniel

  • Canada is awesome. Because.

  • You planning on finishing that sentence? :P

    -Daniel ;)

  • Do you really want a list?

  • We could make one, it could be entertaining! XD

feel free to start if you find yourself bored sometime! :P

    -Daniel

  • No war (has been conducted here)

    No slavery

    Democracy +

Our national anthem isn't hard to learn

    Moose and Beaver

    1 $ coins

Amazing Canadian movies (Whole New Thing, Juno)

    Corner Gas ^.^

    French and English+(multi-cultural)

  • Ok, i normally don't comment about this sorta stuff, but c'mon!!!

the war of 1812 and seven years wars were both fought in canada (granted pre-confederation)

slavery WAS an institution in Canada until 1834

and loonies and toonies (the coins for non canadians) are a FRIGGIN PAIN!

  • Oh, and the main point i want to make is that this is a great show. No Kenny vs. Spenny, but still, fantastic.

  • No, pennies are a pain.

And still, America and other countries didn't have people who felt the need to express how everyone was equal. And sure there was Linc but he got assanated, so there was people who didn't want slavery to end.

And there was Herriot Tubman and such, but there still can be people like them, in Canada and other countries.

If you're Canadian, shame on you.

  • Shame on you!!! Canada is my home and I was born and raised here, and there is a lot to be proud of but blind uncritical patriotism is just silly!

Think about how our government treated aboriginal canadians, discriminated against Chinese, Irish and Jewish imigrants, to name only three groups. This country isn't utopia!

Not just that- WHY DO CANADIANS ALWAYS HAFTA TRASH AMERICANS to prove a point? I mean their accents are a BIT funny, but most of them are decent folks!

  • How did accents ever make a difference? I cant even tell between a Canadian and American accent.

For you thinking that, I frown.

sure Canada is all that, but still, we are pretty good.

Other countries look at us as free, welcoming country.

I dont like our form of government, but still, its better than some Pakistani country (no offense to Pakistan).

  • On the mention of Native Americans, I would like to chip in one thing: at least we still have aboriginals around to mistreat. The States just killed off all the natives in their country. Nice, huh?

  • i dont think so im native american and im not dead

  • Idiot! We still have a large "Native" population...

  • Much like the Bible, which many Americans also struggle to understand, my comments are usually not to be taken literally. You have a small Native population. American policy was always to kill Native Americans when they encountered them, as opposed to the Canadian policy of working out treaties and giving them free stuff. Many Americans have never even seen an aboriginal. They're not literally all dead, but Canadians did a much better job of not killing them off. Idiot!

  • Oh the bible, another fine fairy tale! Done with you...

  • Yeah, that's right, walk away. Let me know when you feel ready to read a history book.

  • Hardly any slaves though.

  • don't dis the toonie

  • We're on top. :)

  • This is one of my favorite episodes, along with Dog River Vice. "Quittin Knittin"

  • this is funny but if you watch the show theres plenty of hilarious episodes

  • lol, i love this garbage chain letters! i should be dead x 10, same with my family ---> I DONT PASS ON RETARDED CHAIN LETTERS! god dammit people

  • What is a hoe, do they mean...

  • just incase u actually dont know, because detecting sarcasm in text is a little more...hard. A hoe (not anything to do with whore) is a tool used for softening land so one could easily plant seeds in it, they arn't used anymore(i dont think?) but thats what the mean by hoe

  • I read somewhere this is the only time they've ever done CG on Corner Gas... I mean, um, CG animation - computer generated. I guess every episode of Corner Gas is "CG"...

...um... hee hee, great big dirty hoe.

  • This is a great replacement for the Red Green Show

  • this is one of my fave episodes, 'Big dirty...hoe' hawt!

  • then dont watch it then

  • I actually used to be from the same hometown (Tisdale) as Brent Butt. Lots of people I knew grew up with him, met him and stuff, really great guy. Even autographed a corner gas t shirt for me

  • My mom was planning on moving us from alberta to Tisdale but she's looking aroung Yorkton and Canora now

  • I really don't recommend moving to Tisdale

  • true because im in army cadets and it's in the middle of no-where not even near a cadet corp thats in a reasonable driving distance

  • nope

  • "they do attract ppl" lol!!

  • this was hilarious. and yet another great episode tonight at 9:30!!

  • A big dirty hoe might attract Elliot Spitzer.

  • funny

  • Zing.

  • "Now it's a big, dirty hoe" lol

  • i love this show

  • I live in a small town in Saskatchewan, and I think this show is funny as hell. Anyone who disagrees needs to get that prairie dog out of their ass. Just my opinion, of course.

  • i live in BC lol so many mountains half the time u cant see 3 feet in front of u, in a huge town! i still love this show.

  • It's funny, from my point of view... Saskatchewan really is as flat as they portray in the show. Heh. Also, I used to live in a town that resembles Dog River well enough from a geographical standpoint. Fits to a T, as a matter of fact. Town named Canwood.

  • i think its a great show mabey you need to see a few more episodes

  • I think that we can all agree Canadian or American (i'm Canadian) that this show shows that you don't have to have retarded jokes like Family guy to be funny. Awesome show =D.

  • sometimes they'll have a joke here or there that is a big miss, but overall it's a quality show with the quirky shades of a seinfeld or an arrested development

  • sometimes they'll have a joke here or there that is a big miss, but overall it's a quality show with the quirky shades of a seinfeld or an arrested development

  • its a funny show the jokes can be a LITTLE stupid now and then but for the most part its a very funny show. I'm canadian and its a very hate it or love it show. I personally love it its very funny and makes me smile:D

  • im proudly canadian

  • I wonder why americans are so hostile to this show. I think it's hilarious and clever unlike most shows you see on tv in the U.S.

  • I'm an American and I love this show. It's very well written and very witty. Unlike most of the GARBAGE that's popular now and could easily have been written by third graders.

  • hilarious!

    I love this show!

I own all the seasons on dvd, and I still can't resist watching this.

  • I love this show!

  • Third-favorite part of the series ever!

    That's just me though.

  • Best canadian show.EVER!

  • It doesn't take place in new york or LA. How DARE they!

  • are you kidding me?

  • Typical ignorant American...

Your national IQ average is a disgrace. You're in debt up to your eyeballs. Your crime rates are astronomical. Your literacy statistics are pathetic. But you are leading the world in obesity! Excellent job!

  • Thanks for having faith in us.

I don't care how great your country is, you're still an asshole.

  • What are you, retarded? This is one of the best shows on TV. You must have no sense of humor. Humour I mean.

  • Ontario, home of the worlds biggest asshole!(ME)

  • aw i love this episode.

  • zzz

  • lol its a big dirty ho

  • our village should build the biggest cracker, you know Breton crackers.i think it would be funny

  • Nanaimo has the world's largest hockey stick.

I am sure you knew that.

But, hey I am a big Corner Gas fan.

Can I get my free hat now?

  • Aha!

  • Duncan has the biggest hockey stick not Nanaimo, Nanaimo has the most bars per capita in Canada, or at least did a few years ago

  • I live on the Island WholyRoly. Nobody cares about those two holes in the wall as much as you do by mentioning them. The episode was funning overpriced pieces of crap that people living in nowhere land take pride in. By mentioning stupid useless facts about.

  • I live on the Island as well and agree they are holes. I was mearly pointing out which hole the hockey stick actually is located in. Get a girl friend...or even just a friend

  • No, It's Duncan that has the worlds biggest hocky stick. Your 50km off.

  • In tthis episode they say, "well looks like the world's biggest hoe..." Sort of like saying we have the world's biggest prostitute."

  • thats the joke.

  • i miss the laugh track :(

  • We've had a huge void since Seinfeld ended .... this is, without a doubt, it's successor! A great show!

  • not even close. A great show? Yes. A huge void since Seinfield? Maybe. A successor to Seinfeld, no freakin way. Seinfeld stands on its own as king of a style of sitcom that is now dead. Corner Gas is a part (not leading) a new brand of comedy. (RIP the laugh track)

    d

  • Every show is awesome you rock Canada for giving the USA a really clean and hilarious show

  • it plays in the us now?
