R7 - progskeet give power from PS3 motherboard, R8 - Power from USB cable. If you close together or R8 only - this is only for system restore (you write or download bytes from nor with error - this need only if you have 100% good dump and console start only for 3 sec and shut off after unsuccesfully flashing) Find my tread on progskeet support forum on furry-cheetah nickname. (youtube not allowed to post links)
I succesfully solve the same problem, try make wires shorter! I know, thats need time, but this works for me. Previous this operation i have everytime different dumps and everytime after trying flash - have freeze with 0x0. First - make dumps with switched on consoleand closed only R7!!! This is very important! By the way, when you make dump or flash you spansion, R7 - close, R8 - open and console switched on and fully loaded! (just wait 30 sec after XMB start).
@SirGhas Nothing... I've ressoldered it all, with more short connections, tried new version of winskeet, tried in linux with yaskeet. Soldered more 3GND points, nothing...
It's not the problem with progskeet, I can assure you. Because a friend of mine tied soldering this progskeet in PS3 Slim, and it worked fine.
SirGhas, do you have the same model of mine PS3? What schematic did you use?
@aa9596 Nope, there is also solderless kit for progskeet, but it's better you solder, because a friend of mine bought that kit, and went to talk through IRC to team behind progskeet, and they said that there are some faulty kits in the market, that have 3.3v shorted with GND. This means that when you use it on your PS3 board, it can permanently damage your console.. so better don't use solderless kits.
This week, I'll try another install, I'll film essential parts of install and winskeet/yaskeet and post it here. Maybe we'll solve this problem all together :)
Same problem here but with nor samsung, had shorten wires but problem is still there. Any solution Vit77 or any1 would be appreciated.

@85tometran Hey, I haven't tried anything else, because I don't have much time these days. In the end of the month I'll try to resolder it.
Have you tried eioman36 suggestion?
Good luck!

@gabcauseican This implies that I must have 3.3V from ProgSkeet connected to 3.3V of PS3 board?
Thanks
vit77utube 1 month ago
@vit77utube yes 3,3v should go to 3.3v on the ps3
