    good one and awesome tune!

  • Sounds great, but I think my version is different from yours. Would I be able to get a copy of your music to compare the two? Besides I think yours sounds better!

    Thanks alot, fellow piper Tyler.

  • your a madman good job that kicked ass

  • Not ony the piping is great, but the sound is superb. The buzzy drones are incredible. This is a perfect advertisement for the Walsh shuttle pipes.

  • nice job!! pipes sounded nice.

  • Really cool Mick...love all sorts of music and your playing has really made me appreciate tradtional pipe playing...thanks for the post keep it up man

  • You know, I think I prefer this tune a bit slower, like this, instead of the usual breakneck speed, actually.

  • Really well played. Possibly a bit faster but you're right with speed coming later later. All the gracenotes are spot on. Well Played!

  • Duncan was a Genious. Why did he kill himself? =(

  • well, being a genius doesn't guarantee happiness. Shit, I didn't even know he killed himself.

  • this tune almost sounds as though there's more than one bagpipe

  • Where might I find the sheet music to this tune?

And if I were you, I would try it out on the big pipes. It actually sounds great. Go listen to the Rogues do it on their album Roguetrip.

  • you can get the music for this tune in Gordon Duncan's Tunes, a music book released a year ago in momory of his work. :)

  • Wonderful playing, great sounding embellishments! The always love the sound of the shuttle pipes, really unique! Would the sheet music for this be available online? Regards, from Halifax, NS.

  • You can find this tune and others in Gordon's book "Gordon Duncan's Tunes". Henderson's has it for $32. "A percentage of the proceeds from this book will go to the Gordon Duncan Memorial Trust, which has been established to promote piping and other traditional music."

    Cheers!

  • NIce jobb. That a kind of playing you don hear often.

  • Very kind of you to say! Cheers!

  • I can play it around 70 75 bpm.

  • Keep it up dude! :-D

  • How man bpm are you playing at ??

  • Somewhere between 90 and 94 I think. Certainly not Duncan's blazing 105 or so. ;-)

  • LOL!!! THAT'S TRUE!!! Hadn't even noticed that. Pretty funny!

  • well done bud, still sounds great at that tempo

  • Phenomenal! Wish I could get that tight in just 48hours on a tune. I had to pull back on comps due to lack of practice time...now its taking me longer to learn any new tune! Great job!

  • Cheers man! Thanks for the compliment! I need to get back in on the comps big time. Want to go professional. Just found an open grade teacher to work with, so hopefully that will be a reality ... Fingers crossed ...

  • Wonderful stuff, all notes sound crispy clean! Wish I could play like that. Do you happen to have sheet music for this? Gordon Duncan's tunes are almost impossible to get, especially here in Poland. Thanks for sharing this!
