I went to the Village to see the Sharks almost every month back in 84. Live in Atlanta now, but hoped someday I could see them one more time. That dream ended and now I'm just glad I have memories and these great clips. Thanks for posting!!

My condolences to the friend I never truly met, and to your family, friends and the band. I meant to return to the US to see a reunion show, but always thought "next year". I have been a fan since the days at Hugo's in Reading , The Silo on 183 & The Met in Harrisburg. I have made it my annual pilgrimage to attend their reunion shows at The Village on Easter eve & Shakey's on Black Friday and never once was disappointed with a Sharks show. A tight, tight band. Sammy & Shea fed off each other and it came across in their performance. Sam "Lugar" was the consumate performer and will be greatly missed.  God's speed Sammy....Long Live the SHARKS!

The world lost a great man. The Sharks literally provided much of the soundtrack of my teenage years and I was fortunate enough to see a few of the reunion shows in the past few years.  Sam's voice still sounded awesome, and the band still rocked. RIP Sam - you will be deeply missed.

So sorry to hear of Sam's passing. I first saw the Sharks in 1980 or 1981 at Millersville college(back then). I also remember seeing them at Lancaster Catholic High School right after they recorded "You'd better watch her" single....Good times!
