  • Genesis, Rush,Floyd fans...............your mouths are open.

  • To me it's so much fun listening to what they tried to do with these 25th-mixes, just because it doesn't really work. :-)

  • LOUDER DAMN PC; LOUDEEEEEERRRRR !!!!

  • Excellente chanson!

  • Shades of Queen but better.

  • Que pena me da de esta generación que les tocó vivir la pero época de la música, grandes genios como ian anderson, vivirán por siempre.

  • I say an interview someplace where he was asked why he took up the flute. His answer was that when he went into a store the flute was the lightest instrument they had. Later, when he had made it he played and composed on the piano. One of the greats of our time.

  • Original Lp sound is lot better. Great music! Get it on LP!

  • Thank God I was introduced to Jethro Tull by an old boyfriend and thus got to hear more than just what the radio stations would have me hear--although "Locomotive Breath," "Aqualung," and other radio releases are preferable to 99.9% of what passes for rock these days.

  • Even though this song comes from a Tull era I don't really fancy as one of my favourites, it's a brilliant one. After all, how many bands have several eras of different styles and exceed in all of them?

  • now this is really bugging me, i just got into jethro tull through my hippy father and this sounds so so familiar, any chance its from an old movie?

  • @gillham89 maybe when you were young your dad listened to it in front of you

  • Used to have this album, eons ago. I had forgotten how good this was.

  • Such a good song. Why did we let Lucifer take over the music industry, I mean, really, was it worth it to have nothing today that can compare with songs such as this one?

  • Whoever said Tull can't be metal, is wrong. They can do whatever they want.

  • Is this a different mix? Sounds way diff. than the version on A. I love this song so MUCH.

  • @placidian I think this is the remastered version from "25 Years of Jethro Tull", although I'm not 100% sure

  • @Aqualung1989 Thanks for the info!

  • @Aqualung1989 it cam from the album A

  • @claretaytay the original song comes from the album A, but this is a remastered version

  • @Aqualung1989 this does sound like the "25 Years of Jethro Tull" version.

  • Brethtaking music!

  • I agree that music is simply evolving, not dying. As a 90's-2000's metal fan, I see the stories and messages in battle, death and thrash metal bands of today. They relay legendary historical events, mythological plot lines, and lessons to be learned from atrocious crimes. You have to search to find the good bands. Have your opinions, but the messages and stories put forth by bands like Suidakra, Trivium, Teräsbetoni and many others have lasting value and strength in their songs.

  • @PsychoBirdie i agree, in any thing in life, i see people go through a downtime sort of phase right before they get a lot better. it's just a process for evolving.

  • music isnt dead just different look at skillit they go to great leangths to have christian overtones without overrunning the music with it u can experience thier music in many diferrent ways you can hear it and not think anything about relegion or not

  • Ian Rock´s on the flute

  • Why do people feel the need to post their age and then the fact that they love whatever band/kind of music? I just don't see the relevance. Are you trying to prove something?

  • fin allsome

  • charts ? watt denn dette ?

  • Thanks dude, Great stuff!!!!!!!!!!

  • The 'A' album is some serious shit. The poster that came with the album I still have on my wall. "Tomorrow is the one day I would change for a Monday..."

  • @tjrxk7 Powerful song. This album is one of my favs.

  • Amazing!

  • dman great song!! i've gotta get my hands on a copy of the "a" album....well, i've got christmas money now, so this shouldn't be a problem...lol.....jethro tull, i'm coming!!

  • Egyszerűen: csodálatosan nagyszerű.....Talán az egyik legnagyobbjuk, de ezt badarság kijelenteni, Anderson mindig tud varázsolni, hangulatomtól függ, mivel....

  • No band can blow your mind like Jethro Tull can.

  • Brilliant.

  • You stupid thick bastard - he's not dead.

  • What the fuck are you talking about you stupid asshole?

  • Are you confusing Ian Anderson with Falco!?

  • @PennnSmith

What the fuck are you talking about?? Ian Anderson is healthier than you are, he never got drunk and never drugged, it was something he himself couldn't bear. He even 'fired' some members of the band in the past just because they liked partying.

  • @MrUrgando True. Glenn Cornick, the original bassist, left the band because he liked to party while the others were sober and wanted to concentrate on their music.

  • good song

  • my favorite song

  • great song

  • i love the Piano breakdowns in jethro tull's songs!! so unique

  • Great Audio. It seems as if it were equalized or fixed with an equalizer.

Anyway, great song, with strong character.

  • i love jethro tull - i´m 17 and can´t really understand why music like this isnt in the charts anymore...

  • flüchte lieber..

  • @Fahnenflucht Its all down to companies dont want to spend the time developing artistry, and they train society to listen to crap and so no one asks for quality its jus the same as food, furnature, films etc,

Its a shame really as atleast currently the pinnicle of humans music artistic endevours probably ended at the end of the 1970's, with a just a few diamonds beyond that point.

  • @SuperGlooBand

The A album was released in 1980 followed by another classic album in 82 and probably a third in 87.

Maybe what you meant is that music died with groups that did not exist before 1980 and with that I have to disagree as well.

I think music has died in the last 10 years, now it is all about the quick buck and not survivability. Last week 1800 single sales got you into the top 40 in the UK.

    Thats sad.

  • @Fahnenflucht Nobody cares if you're 17.

  • @Fahnenflucht Because it's hard to do. Why go to the effort of learning how to properly compose, sing and play when you can just cough up nearly anything with a beat process it through an auto-tuner and have success. An overstatement perhaps, but even those bands today who can play mostly seem content to churn out boring and frankly depressing songs and melodies. This was a product of its time and alas will never be repeated.

  • besides "and further on", one of the best songs of the album "A".

some pieces in this song are inspired by Bach's style

  • Wow...two different sets of ears on the same song lol...I was just thinking how much this sounds like alot of the other post-disco electronic rock that came out around this time, alot of those same types of arpeggios, almost like something that Styx or Journey would have glued together, but certainly not with the melodic or lyrical abilities of an Ian Anderson.

  • my dad sang jethro tull music to me as baby; i grew up singing one brown mouse haha

i haven't heard this one but i love all of ians' music...i love all his different styles

  • What an awesome dad! Heavy Horses was my favorite Tull album bar far, and yet I don't know anyone in real life who is as fond of it as I am, or even knows it exists for that matter.

  • Well I would like to agree with you Heavy Horses is brilliant. From start to finish. One of my fav Tull albums

  • jethro tull rules !

  • This song is better when performed live.

  • Absolutely, the version on 'Slipstream' is superb

  • i like the version they do for bachs 300th birthday, its here on youtube

  • Never heard this song before.. never really got into tull... but what a riff :D

  • album A is IMHO the best jethro tull album:)

  • This album is really special. A transition i think between 70's music and heavy metal of the 80's. For me its a great album because i was 10 when it cames out!!! And i like Jethro tull since i was 4!!
