my friend once got a mexican pizza from taco bell, walked into the room, sat down, and saw it had tomatoes, then proceeded to throw it as hard as possible under the sofa.
he then decided to eat it two hours later. maybe that's why i don't find this all that funny because random shit like this happens almost every day to me lol
(malcom in the middle was still amazing though and yes i know this is breaking bad)
@draconian45 I know exactly what you mean.. I was laughing for so long after seeing this. I was thinking "I wonder if that was an accident but they kept it anyways??" haha
You know he wanted to bust out laughing when that thing landed up there. I'm not sure of the intended shot, but I know I'd want to laugh of the outcome.
In an interview with Bryan Cranston, he said he was in disbelief that the pizza landed that way, and on the first take too. You can see near the end he slightly breaks character by doing a double take, but this is pretty hard to notice on tv. Great show.
The gimmick of selling unsliced pizza to supposedly save you money has to be a joke about Papa Murphy's, a real chain that sells it's pizza UNBAKED. You have to bake it at home. They claim it saves you money, yet it still costs $9.99! Dumbest gimmick ever. As Jesse would say, how much does it cost to bake a fucking pizza?
Holy shit that was actually in the script? I thought the Pizza landing on the roof was just one of those one in a million shot that Vince Gilligan left in...
@FractalBolt Can't say that I blame her, Walters good intentions aside, if the authorities busted him she would have lost everything, the house, everything, her and the kids wouldn't have a pot to piss in.... Of course all that was made Moot when she started becoming a quasi business adviser to Walter towards the end of season 3.
I cracked up when I saw this! Then I had to rewind and watch it 2 more times. I wondered if Bryan Cranston did this on purpose or if it was a happy accident, but it was in the script. It only took him one take, though.
Great scene, great show. I love Walter White and all, but honestly, did he really think a pizza and some "dipping sticks" could mend fences? He obviously doesn't think much of his wife.
One of the small reasons that Breaking Bad is one of the best shows on TV today. I've told my girl friend that if we break up. Some how there will be a pizza on the roof.
From Vince Gilligan: "Our special effects expert did indeed work up some mechanism for getting the pizza out of the box and onto the roof, using fishline or somesuch. However, to the best of my knowledge, his rig was never used. What you see in the finished episode is take one, in which Bryan basically just did a Hail Mary toss and got it up there in one try!"
@shocktrooper42 If you look at some of the outtakes from that season, you can see a clip of him practicing the angle that he needed to throw it at (without any pizza in his hands). I don't know how many takes he needed to get that shot, but the dude's a pro.
3 people didn't want dipping sticks.
