Poor Frank Oz. With the exception of Harvey Kneeslapper, he always performed Muppets who just couldn't catch a break when telling awful jokes. Good thing Statler and Waldorf weren't in that park.
This looks like the only skit where Bert is in a laughing and joking mood where Ernie isn't in the mood to talk, play, and joke with Bert. All other skits Ernie plays, jokes, and annoys Bert whenever he is reading which makes Bert angry.
As a proud Pigeon-American, I am very offended by this video...
