Oh yeah, that "I am a old doctor thats why I am better than everyone else" atitude. Yet, people still die at hospitals to the top doctors... how strange. :P
@Fabbe131 No, but surely the doctors can do a lot more. I don't exactly see the doctors crying them selves asleep after one of their patients die either nor do they seem to feel shame. If I had to draw a conclusion from what I know right now, I'd say doctors don't care and all they want is the good pay. Thats why I try not to get too hurt, because people die at hospitals at minor wounds.
@Bidmartinlo If doctors got emotionally attached to every patient they had, they could only work for a single week before having to quite due to the huge emotional stress. Modern medicine is great, and we can cure a lot of stuff, but not everything.
And also, doctors make mistakes, even the best ones, they are still only human, you can't change that. However, nobody in a hospital is going to die from a broken arm, unless there are serious complications.
@Bidmartinlo I'd still rather trust a trained person than some guy on the internet, or some douche who thinks sticking you with needles or drinking your weight in veg juice will do anything other than hurt you and make you piss a lot.
Same goes for "new age" medicine ... I use the word medicine in the loosest possible way.
@theomega616 I just try to keep of anything that has to do with medicine. It has only made me worse. As long as you relax when you get ill, it should be alright. Though broken bones, thats something different. That might be the only time I'd go to the doctor. Luckly I've never broken a single bone yet, so I don't know. :P
@theomega616 I would I get any of those, without being injected? Well... most in my family used to have short lifespans, but I don't think doctors can cure death. xD
@Bidmartinlo Cancer is not an injected disease... it technically isn't a disease. Cancer is the rapid mutation of your own cells. The mutations are detrimental to your physical, and sometimes mental, well-being and your immune system is slow to react to it because they are your cells. When your immune system finally responds as if these mutations are a threat they will start attacking your cells.
@Bidmartinlo By the way... if you never go to a doctor until you're really sick you might miss the first signs of many fatal diseases because the most dangerous ones all appear to be minor illnesses until it's too late.
@TheThreeHeadedDragon Yes it would be too late, but what could I do? I can't go to the doctor for every single sneeze, now could I? Science haven't really gotten that far. Though, I have to admit: Doctors are good at learning some people how to prevent disease.
I still don't trust them, because of some of the documents that have "leaked" into the media. Where children and "weaker" people have been injected, as a part of an public experiment. I don't want that. :\
@TheThreeHeadedDragon If you've gone to the doctors in Norway, you'd understand. They just state to you the obvious! "Yes, you are sick! Have some placebos... I mean... medicine." I think, the only time they really help you here is when you are bleeding too much on their floor... even then they just cover up the wound for later.
And this rarely gets media coverage... mostly because everyone knows it. -.-
@TheThreeHeadedDragon You'll be better off, honestly. We might have the nature, the money and some friendly looking people, but everything else is... well, garbage. And not everyone gets the taste of the luxury others do; like celeberties, politicians and other people who gets paid for doing nothing.
Might sound like any other place on earth, but theres one difference: Nobody does anything about it. "Us" Norweigans are very optimistic, to a decree where its scary.
@animefriend101 no they don't. if they aren't red on the plant they don't turn red off of it. the same with jalapenos. now in many cases with different breeds of those plants they can turn red on the stem, but if you have a garden you will likely harvest it before it turns red. you're more likely to see red peppers of any sort during autumn harvesting of old plants, because they move to red allot faster in that season. but if you pick it green, it stays green.
@animefriend101 and don't try to say "that still means they turn red over time" because most peppers (bell or jalapeno particularly) you grow during the peak season (planted in spring, peak in mid summer) will rot off the stem before they turn red. red peppers that we buy in the stores are specific breeds of peppers (berries actually), you can grow them if you want, but all peppers can turn red, in autumn, when they taste like crap. but they do it on the stem.
Wikipedia IS that bad, my friend once edited her grandmaster chess friend's wiki and it came up on a professional site that he was completely in love with Beckie (in the middle of his personal information). Never trust wiki as you don't know who wrote on it before you viewed the page and they can literally put anything on there xD.
@darknesswefeel Except for important articles, sources are needed, and if you're stupid enough to not track down every source of information of ANY article you use...well to put it in Cox's words, you deserve the pain you get when you wax your legs Nancy
Let's be fair, usually Wikipedia doesn't let that crap stay on their articles. The pages that get lots of traffic are usually fairly accurate, depending on how controversial the subject is.
The problem is that a lot of homeopathic, pseudoscientific, or just experimental study citations show up and people can't tell the difference between an idea that is a year old and established medical fact that's been around for decades.
That's true, but that's just an argument against people trying to self-diagnose and treat, rather than one against Wikipedia specifically. My point was just that Wikipedia isn't as bad as they're making it out to be in this clip.
Wiki is unreliable, sure people check to make sure anything added is wrong. But, they can't catch EVERY difference, and out of the millions that use wiki, people will get tricked pretty often.
"And, now, I have to take your laptop from ya as I've deemed you're just too darn stupid to use it"
This quote should be used alot, given how many idiots there are on the internet.
