I like the part at 4:40 where he explains the mountains/hills and saddles and how each successive hill is lower and each saddle is lower and each keypoint is lower.

A great way to further visualize this info is to go into Google Earth and turn on just the "terrain" view. It makes it easy to view various geographic locations and see how these principles apply.
