@Usul573 Clearly you didn't play this game when you were little!! Just getting past the level with the rain was a daunting task and you have no continues. Even as an adult with no experience, this game would take anyone with no experience with the game several hours. The only reason this guy can beat it this quick is because he knows exactly what to do, especially on the last level which is incredibly difficult without using the tactic of getting 2 guys behind you on the screen.

Sure it's a bit of a pain sometimes, but it didn't seem THAT bad to me.

The thing with older games is that you exploit the AI.

@Usul573 clearly you've played it before... Not to mention you've already seen THIS video which clearly tells you how to exploit the game.. LOL In 30 minutes, someone new to the game wouldn't have figured out how to exploit shit, because they wouldn't have even made it through the typhoon level. Let alone the 3rd level which is really, REALLY hard without cheating/exploiting.. Dude I've beat games like Ghosts and Goblins, Batman, and punch-out without cheats so I know what hard is.

Fun fact: the composer for this game was Hirohiko Takayama, who did, among other things (I'm assuming), the soundtrack for Lemming on the Turbo CD and Genesis. Which I guess explains why the music is so much better than the game itself.

I died a lot in this game as well as other various NES games but I don't seem to die as much in SNES games.

The only test in this game I have a hard time with is the drum-hammer mini game.

That game's hard as fuck but through ALL the cheap deaths and countless times you see the game over screen, you feel relief, you feel you've acheived something as you get rewarded with a great ending. In here, you feel regrets having to go through that far and get a crappy ending.

This game really brings me back. Nice playthrough, although letting enemies follow you so new ones don't appear is kind of a cheap trick. Never could beat that fourth level, so I never knew it was the last one.
