I had the same water dish but its not so good for bigger reptiles like skinks or bearded dragons cause I got my bearded dragon that water dish and he stopped drinking from it so I now have it in my leopard gecko enclosure but besides that its really cool :)
First off, sand is bad. I never put my guy on sand for the horror stories I've read and heard about. secondly you need a moist hide for shedding. Love the water thing but is it enough for both? I got mine a kidney shaped bowl that works well, he loves it. Also you need the day and night bulb and digital thermometer to keep an eye on the temps. Leos are from rocky desert areas, not sandy. Some fake plants and it should be great for them. I have done a ton of research since I got my gecko, and wi
@spartangecko1 if you feed it in a separate container then sand cant cause impaction. If i got a leo i would use sand but feed it outside the enclosure.
Pretty cool get a reptile waterfall an also get a pack of moss for the cool hide get a day and night bulb and a small mealworm dish in case u forget to feed them or if they get hungry during the day... How much for all the substrate.
Sand isn't that bad I use sand I have 3 geckos all 4 years old and no problem with it. They live in the dessert and dessert has sand so all that impaction shit is true but rare to get in a gecko.;)
I have a male gecko and a female gecko and just breeded have 9 new leopard geckos i have 6 females and 3 males selling males for £15 and selling females £20
@deadlymason10 they say that but lots of geckos die there and leopard geckos live on hard rocky clay, not sand but you can use whatever you want i just wouldnt believe everything you hear

@Squamatakid Yeah, but, sand is still okay to use, seeing as where they live IS a desert, and using repti-carpet or news paper is even less natural for them... And nobody's gonna want to buy clay and fake rocks just to use in their leopard gecko's environment. Use your brain a little.
@scareface3179 They are nocturnal man, so therefor they don't need uva or uvb to produce vitamine d3 and other essential vitamins. they get there nutrients from most of the foods they eat e.g. the leopard gecko is mainly and insectivore and insects are high in protein and essential minerals. Google itthe only time you need a lamp is if you have a big tank and it is cold.
@scareface3179 who told you that. Pure ignorance. Are you autistic bro? Let me gess your moms a refrigerator and your dad's a door mat? THERE FUCKING NOCTURNAL!
