How can i get fortisols and aerosol before the battle? (P.S. I didnt beat the game so i don't have the shop) and i try to beat him but I usually die... my crystalium is almost maxed out on my 3 chars and my weapons are decent xD

i found this boss extremely easy........ 5 stared him first try and didnt use any shrouds or any buffs/debuffs...... just using 3 paradigms thats all 1.Ravager Ravager Commando 2.Ravager Medic Commando 3. Ravager Ravager Ravager (stagger meter builder) and i know your gonna think im bullshitting but im not i also wasnt lvl capped at all...... did use summon once but other then that thought it was a pretty standard boss encounter

You really stopped to max your item levels or just hax? Atleast your CP shows you would have killed millions of enemies in just one place. Since one group gives like 1k cp and you have ~183k and everything maxed o.ô

Wow thats great! If you use the shrouds before the fight, would the time limit to get 5 stars decrease as well? I swear I saw yours was 4 min. Mine is like 10. I didnt use shrouds and dont have maxed out equips. I beat it in 7+ minutes. I only got 4 stars :( Its hard to stagger this dude! Cool vid!

mine was 2:58 or 2:52, I defeated Barth in 4:00 minutes with my tier 1 weapons and ordinary equipment, if you manage to defeat Barth in 4:00 minutes you get 5 stars.

sincerely i considered this one the hardest boss until now(and for me now is right after barthandelus) but it wasnt that hard. he just needed strategy and pacience. with training and good paradigms it was just a mtter of time :P

but the part of doom in the end realy pissed me off i beated him at the second time and when the countdown of doom was only at 90 ...

but again, with a good startegy, it wasnt that hard, and i hope that this isnt the hardest in the storyline.....

You get it as spoils in battle, theres an equipment that increases the chances of the enemies of dropping these itens.

In chapter 13 you'll get an shop that sells it for 12000 each.

I think I got 4 stars, on a normal playthrough, but I beat him 1st time.

Basically, Lighting attacks the whole time, using Blitz to weaknes the armor, while, at the start, Sahz used Haste on everyone, and other buffs, and Hope used Protect and Shell. Then, it was a simple matter of using the Diversity Paradigim, to stay alive, while beating him up, switching to 2 Rav 1 Com when healthy. Destructo was no threat, mainly because I kept on the pressure.

I beat him on my.. second or third try? First thing to do: I guess lebra, Take out the 4 magic face things, then focus on the main guy, when your warned of his destrudo, make sure your parties hp is high, and have your whole party attack at once, Dealing enough damage, you will weaken the destrudo, so your main char. doesnt get fked in 1 hit. :P

He had about 70k health left, got into a nice pattern, using destrudo, so I switch to tri disaster which worked previously and after about 30k worth of damage he isn;t flinching and just annihilates my team :|

I've been looking into it and so far I've come to figure this much out.

The mobs in the room before the boss drop items that are vendor trash (useless items that can be sold for high amounts of gil). By the time I realized this I had about 20 of both items (they drop two kinds of items). I sold all of it and ended up with about 40k gil. From that point I bought 99 "Iron Shells" for 80gil each. These items give you an exp bonus when used (use them 5 at a time, not all at once) cont....

....cont. After I used 5 Iron Shells, I used a few Ceramic Armors, which can be bought at Lenora's Garage. Ceramic Armor gives a lot of exp but it lowers your exp multiplier. So you are going to have to use more Iron Shells to get it back up. Also, from what I can tell, every time your item lvls up, your exp multiplier limit goes up.

my best advice would be to grind in the ginormous area before the battle. but really, for future purposes, you should take every chance you get to get CP.

But yeah you can get aeresols from shops, but they cost quite a bit

Also, if you haven't, invest a little into upgrading your weapons. That helps too.
