I know this piece, and I know you all put a LOT of work into it. It DID come out nicely. BUT-as a native Kreyol (and French) speaker, the language was poorly executed. Since you are a good ensemble, do yourselves a favor and find someone who is both a native speaker and trained singer. Have them coach you. I have a lot of respect for your conductor-she took a risk in doing this piece, and it mostly paid off. BUT, the language is so important-and it was sorely lacking. Good luck and keep at it.

It is not too fast. The other choirs on you tube sing it WAAY too fast. the tempo of this vid is spot on. It has to swing. I agree with sleshtenor.
