I just saw an article on the internet. "What ups with R&B". It's not R&B anymore: its a fusion of R&B/Pop and Hip Hop. They have pushed our real singers and groups (that play real instruments) on the back burner. I don't never see Peobo Bryson unless they are doing a tribute to someone. It's sad. Even though Atlantic Starr dosen't have David, Barbara and Sharon, Wayne and Jonathan is holding it up. So I'm glad they are traveling. We need some real music with REAL singers.

It is sad this band have lost one of the original member and two fantastic female singers left the band and started solo or others group (Change) career,...Anyway, nice to hear this,...

They sound good but I don't recognize any of these members. I'm the type that if you don't have the main members in the group then you are NOT the group. It can't be the group in name only. Without most of the original members, it's just a good cover band.The original group were awesome. I miss them. Imagine the Gap Band without Charlie Wilson.See what I mean?

@lookahere ..they only have 2 originals members, so this is Atlantic Starr, but only with the 2 Lewis brothers: Wayne and Jonathan. David who sang the leads with Barbara on "Always", "Secret Lovers", and did "My Sugar", "Closer" and others left the band in 94, and is doing music ministry now. After watching UnSung, I didn't know he left the group. Without David, Barbara Weather and Sharon Bryant, is isn't the same. Even if they could get a reunion, I double David would come back.

@jmusic45 Oh wow! Yeah, you're probably right. Once they get deep into religion, it's usually a rap for their past careers. Even if it's just for one reunion show. Well, thank goodness we have the recordings to listen to. Thanks for the info.

@lookahere ...looking at R&B artists who leave for Gospel Music, I have seen at least 2 who have went back into R&B such as Coko and Kelly Price. They might be doing it for the money as Gospel music dosent' get as much, but after looking at David on Unsung, he's been doing ministry since the late 90's and has already been approached about doing a Atlantic Starr reunion cd and turned it down, I don't think know if he would do a reunion, maybe a one time thing on tv. At least he's staying true.

Love Atlantic Starr. I'm a very loyal fan. But, I heard David Lewis died in 1988. So sorry for the family's lost. He is sorely missed.

Hey mkburnett1 David is still alive he and his wife sings gospel now in fact they have a video on youtube title one you should check it out its a nice song.

@mkburnett1 ...David didn't die, he gave his life to God and left the group in 1994. Watch UnSung. If you don't get TVOne, I believe they have the whole episode on their website. It's probably on here now. He and his wife do music ministry, and they have a cd out on CdBaby. Check out their website. The group is not the same without their key lead singers. I doubt David would come back. But Wayne seems to be holding it up along with his brother Jonathan.

Oh! I learned something new. David is the only orginal member left. Out of all those people?!!!! Remember how big the original group was? With Sharon and them. Then it went to 5. That's when Barbara joined. Now...it's one. Man the sharks in the industry really took a toll on great artist. I love Atlantic Star. I hear the Commodoors are getting back together. Lets hope Atlantic Starr will too. I'm mean I'm happy for Wayne and his wife. The had great voices man!! Dang!!

Yes this was a great group one of the very very few that I didn't get to see live back in the day. But there are still some great bands still out there. A few weekends ago in Va Beach Virginia I saw Zapp (More Bounce to the Ounce) Midnight Star (No Parking on the Dance Floor) and Brick (Sweat til you get wet) Speaking of Sweat just saw Keith Sweat last week. We've been rockin down here lately. Old School for sure...

@Minordd3 ... David left. There is only Jonathan and Wayne Lewis left out of the original band. They've had so many female singers, I can't keep up. They are good, but not like Barbara Weathers and Sharon Bryant. They need a reunion, just one good reunion. It would be off the hook.
