@MEgues Some people with farms/in the country have them sometimes... I'm outside of town and there's this guy down the street who used to have peacocks. I'm not sure the reason why though... but it DOES seem to happen none too infrequently.
Wait...what...what...wait what...!?!?! Speaking from someone who grew up on a farm. WHY would you have a peacock on a farm? For what purpose, how in the heck coudl you even have the means to keep it? 0.0 SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN THIS I DON'T CARE HOW JUST SOMEONE EXPLAIN THIS!?!?!
@sillygrl23 my mother-in-law keeps peacocks and guineas as "watch dogs" they sound the alarm if anything is wrong, and you can always eat them (you wouldn't eat a watchdog though). Duel purpose.
Back in the days of the Kingdom of Hungary (which included today's Hungary, Slovakia, and large chunks of Ukraine and Romania) Peacocks were a common symbol of status
They were originally kept by royalty as living decoration for their gardens, but rich farmers would later start emulating this as a way to show-off in front of their neighbors.
In some rural areas of Hungary, Slovakia, and Ukraine, this is still kept alive out of tradition
There was always one thing I wondered about, why did the Hunter capture Foxy as a baby and keep her locked up in a cage. Did he want her as a pet? If so that would be unlikey of him
@totallyawesomesteph I never used to notice that then....but now, yeah that is making me wonder too. I am actually hoping he is planning on eating that little baby bird instead of.......*clears throat*
@Michaelmyersrulz i actually read into this. in the original story that this is based on, it is his sister that they find, but at the end of the story they separate to find a mate, and the story ends with Vick (or Vuk if you prefer) finding a mate. its not rare that details are changed in a book to movie transition.
That frog is probably the cutest thing I have ever seen.
Thank you so much for uploading this so that I can finally watch it. I had an old VHS copy of Rikki Tikki Tavi and The White Seal and both of them advertized this movie, so I've wanted to watch it since I was a kiddo.
I already saw the cut version and seeing this one all the way through, everything suddenly makes sense. OxO Why do they cut things? Children see worse on the six-o-clock news.
The guy who put this up said he couldn't get the icons to go away.
If I had to guess, it's probably an "interactive" function where you highlight and click on the icon and get some little educational thing about that animal or whatever. I'm sure if you played the actual DVD you could select it or watch the film normally.
Michael Graham Cox who voiced Bigwig from Watership Down voiced Karak as well.
