I have never seen so many chickens on a beach as I did in Sosua .. in fact I had never seen a chicken before, not a live one anyway until I went to the Dom Rep..no wonder they eat so many of the poor critters.

The only way you would be poor if you moved there is if you were poor wherever you moved there from. 1 american dollar is equal to 35 Dominican pesos so if you took 100,000 dollars there you could live like a king in paradise and be treated like one by the beautiful women as well.
I just got home from the Dominican. I also went to that bar (The checkpoint bar? I'm not sure what its called, I'm just going by what you had in the video). Its a beautiful country, with beautiful people.
if anyone moves down there and has money saved up it goes a very long way down there- rent goes for 100-800/month usually depending on the type of area u want
