I think Taylor should do some country music and get recognised by the country community. Country music and it's a association are VERY supportive of it's talents, so I think he should start there.

You know, Fantasia, Ruben Studdard and Taylor Hicks were born in wrong generations. If fantasia was born in the 70s/80s, she would definitely have been as huge as Aretha Franklin, Patti Labelle etc. If Ruben was born maybe 8 years earlier when PURE R&B was huge, he would def. have been huge too. If Taylor Hicks was born around the 60s/70s he would've been as huge as Tom Jones and Joe Cocker too i'm sure.

Carrie Underwood did not fall into the pop mold either but she is still famous...there is a reason why he is forgotten..its because America made a mistake making him there idol...that season Daughtry should have won! sorry but the soul patrol is a joke! when you walk into FYE and see his first CD he put out being sold for like 5 dollars you know we made a mistake. in the end all who deserved to win are on top anyway. check the charts Daughtry is there..not taylor

Taylor is the best idol together with Carrie in my opinion. It's so stupid that he is sort of "forgotten" by most just because he couldn't be molded into that pop thing. He is better off doing his own thing. The new album is great!

Well, its complicated. I just graduated from a broadcast school and there is a lot more to it than just playing a song whenever you want to. Most of the time when you hear people requesting certain songs on the radio they were actually pre-screened. All I can say is just keep trying and maybe something will happen :)
