sucks u had to learn the hard way that those katana like shinais are not meant for any contact at all. sorry for the money loss on that one - nice flows otherwise
@axonian Indeed. They were too good to be true for the price, and what we thought we were getting was NOT what we got. Lesson learned, never buy shinai online, always go to reputable martial arts dealer!!
@nagualshadow you could buy from e-bogu or some other kendo store online. alot of stores have like a 6 month limit on the amount of time they can sell shinai, which means fresh and better shinai, martial art stores, unless otherwise stated, usually have shinai lying around for months and months.
