  • BUT IN A WHOREHOUSE?

  • I detect a slight influence of Joseph Joachim here -whereas Joachim drops the tempo to almost standstill Bell however chooses to do in some parts only.for a virtuosic piano version of this ( 4 hands ) see my upload of Labeque sisters.

  • Truly wonderful video of a maestro.

  • PA-PRI-KA! Excellent!

  • LOVE <33333

  • Basically, Joshua stops traffic on an old time sound stage.

The stage was actually one of the stages used in Gone With the Wind.

It is lit evocatively with period carbon arc lights, (just like the classic B&W films of the 30's & 40's used). The stage hands, stop to listen. (That usually doesn't happen, by the way).

A child stops in her play, Karen smoke wistfully, the seated maestro that Joshua plays to, is moved to tears.

When Joshua stops, the moment is broken, the world starts again.

  • @TheNavalcommander he is my idol now :) I'm playing this hungrian dance... and it is SO hard! I admire him ! Thank you for the video & it's explication :)

  • Can't stop listening to this! <3

  • bravo

  • i love his PHRASING. most interpretations (specifically by solo pianists), are just non-stop full-speed-ahead barreling. nice to see what can truly be done with such a beautiful melody on a more legato instrument like the violin (with a master such as Bell at the helm)

  • Wow, the artistry of the greats of the past in an artist of today. Now I don't long for time travel to be invented thanks to Joshua Bell. And great video caps it off nicely.

  • This my first video as a Producer. I had a great time with Joshua & Karen Black. Joshua even let me handle his Stradivarius.

  • @TheNavalcommander can you please tell me what is the story? or... circumstances in this video ? thank you :)

  • mis respetos....
