My daughter-in-law is a mess. At Christmas she wanted this one set of pots & pans that were red, my husband and I got them for her and she never even said thank you. She has never gotten us even a Christmas card. She has 4 children from a previous marriage, and my son has 1. We forgot about the 17 year old boys birthday a month ago and we have never been allowed to forget it. My husband says he's had enough of her, but Im afraid of not seeing my own gradchild advise?
@WingsOfASnowhiteDove you gave her the pots &pans to sincerely make her happy or because you wanted recognition?maybe she wont "praise"your gift because she is aware of the spiteful separation you impose toward her&her children, since you REPEATEDLY mention your son has ONE. if your DIL is distant from you its because you have disrespected &distanced yourself from regarding them as a family.. I'm sure she's already been through enough &doesnt need your nonsense. be loving &sincere for a change.
@sarahjf2007 No we bought her a new car, her son a truck and helped them buy a home. My son did send flowers for Mothers day. We sent her flowers and candy for mothers day. There is no spiteful separation imposed on her or her children. She does have some mental health issues as far as jealousy.
