  • amazingly done...the ONLY video i have seen on the subject.

  • Great video. Great mom!

  • go mo.... i salute you from being ready from anything that will happen..... i think we people should realized nowadays that we need to be careful and be ready most especially when were together with our kids....

  • thats what i like about U.S.A, everybody have the right to have a gun to defend himself and/or the family

    nice video

    nice work

  • I love this video keep up the good work. Its helpful for men also.

  • I think video's are awesome , I had my wife watch you video so she carry with a child aswell , Keep doing what your doing , I think your awesome .great Info .

  • @limalife Good info for when i have my baby . ;)

  • we need more people like you

  • Good for you, The police cant be everywhere all the time. We invest time and effort into our families . Yet all to often we don't make the investment into protecting them. Thanks for setting the record straight with your obvious well thought out and responsible videos. As a retired nypd detective i can safely say it is the right thing to do . Kudos

  • I think this is completely ridiculous -

    I am not "anti-gun" - I just think it's beyond unnecessary.

  • @corpsemunger I think you are actually anti-gun sing you think carrying them is ridiculous. I just don't think you can claim to be anti gun when you have a video saying you are.

  • Great job carrying the gun. The one thing that would concern me if I was carrying a baby and a gun at the same time is when you pull it and shoot. Baby's hearing would probably be damaged after a couple of shots. A hot casing could also burn his face. God knows how many times I've gone to the shooting range and a casing fell into my shirt or hit my face. Those would be the only concerns I'd have if carrying gun while having a baby strapped to my chest. What do you all think?

  • Great vid!!

  • That's a nice gun, I can't wait to get a Wilson Combat.

  • We aren't allowed to carry guns here in the UK.

  • When your child gets older do you have a position or preplanned scenario, for example teach child to get behind you or get down until you tell them to move. Also im am gradually moving up to getting a firearm do you have any suggestions for my first.

I have some experience but when i was a teen, and my husband is real handy. What age is too young for my girls to learn about firearms?

  • soccer mom wit a gun... lucky kid

  • I'm neither a woman nor a parent, but I still enjoyed this video. You make some very well-considered points about what would be a very complex situation. Kudos!

  • hai all, I'm not from the USA and I have a question for all you in the states:

are american kitchens really this dangerous that women need to carry a gun in there?

  • at 5.25 thats a tactical Baby holster sling xD xD xD

  • great video... thanks for sharing some very good information.

  • Mother of the year. nice video. I wish more American women thought like this.

  • Could someone explain to me (I'm curious) why would you carry a gun with you? For example, if someone mugs you, they're going to have their weapon out already, how would you have time to unholster your gun, turn the safety off, and then aim it?

  • I support this lady 100%. It is a sad commentary on our society that has degraded to the point that a young mother has to arm herself for protection. My wife knows how toand is not afraid to,use a side arm.

  • Great point about those small fingers. You're the best!

  • Beautiful woman, cute kid, great firearm. What's not to love!

  • You are the coolest mom ever!

  • ahh so cute!

  • Your son is a real cutie!

  • More gun savvy women like yourself = fewer victims & fewer restrictive laws.

  • That's a big ass 1911, wouldn't you want something a bit smaller for daily carry?

  • @Covermeporkins11 It depends on your lifestyle, especially as woman. 1911's do not print on clothing as much as a Glock or M&P. Why, because the 1911 is slimmer. However if your talking about going down to the size of a compact gun like Walther PPK or Ruger LCP. Those guns do not have a good range if you were to like take a worst case scenario shot in like a shopping mall or something.

  • The grips on the firearm are GORGEOUS! And a good video with an amazing message.

  • Have you ever had to use it with your kid around? (or use it in any instance) jw?

  • y would you carry a freaking gun with a baby in the first fricking place

  • You seem like a very caring and protective mother. Your child is lucky to have a mother like you. By the way I love the wood grips on your wilson combat 1911, that has to be a nice gun. All i have are houge rubber grips on my American tactical FX... which loves to eject brass in my face :(.

  • it looks like the baby is jealous that his mom gets to play with the gun, not him.

  • I can see so many anti-gun people cringing their teeth but I think that this is wonderful!

  • oh my god! your a monster!! you carry a baby AND a gun!!! no im kidding i saw your video response about people making stupid comments. 10 points for being a badass, 1911, toting mom.

  • You are a true heroine to women everywhere.

  • Helpful, but I still need to know how to carry my gun, my baby AND my deluxe, leather bound King James Bible...

  • Thank you for sharing this important information! Your son is fortunate to have you as his protective, empowered Mom!

  • JandN I hear you. A mother is no good to their child if she is dead.

Mrs limalife, thank you for sharing your thoughts in this matter. I'm a dude thanks for your expertise. Yay, shopping! Oh brother. Get the little one a serpa rig. :D

  • AWESOME!! I can only imagine the grief you get from the anti-gun crowd.

Your beautiful baby is blessed in having a mother who knows how to protect him so well.

  • Great video! 100% agree on all points. Stay safe.

  • Excuse my ignorance, but surely firing upon another person who is also armed would put you and more importantly your baby at risk? I would have thought that being seen as an un armed, child baring civilian you would be much less of a threat and therefore less likely to come under fire yourself. But of course you have a right to defend yourself.

  • @MistroJoe

being an unarmed, child baring civilian as you put it makes you a perfect target because it makes you look vulnerable, better a risky defense than no defense.

  • @MistroJoe Not less of a risk being in danger but a greater risk becoming a hostage. Who's the best hostage? A parent and their child. Just because someone has their child in tow does not mean a person should go unarmed to the public. Why give the criminals the upper hand? The deck should always be stacked in your favor. It improves your chance to survive.

  • @MistroJoe You are operating under the false presumption that any given criminal cares about your life, your kid's life, or whether or not you are armed.

There is a reason we call these people criminals, consider them very evil, and lock them away for years and years (and sometimes put them to death).

There are some pretty bad people out there. Any advantage available is worth having.

  • @MistroJoe so explain your theory again so my ignorant self can understand...... being defenseless is safer? I'm sure Lima isn't playing dirty harry with her son on her hip!

  • she's a wonderful mother

  • People carrying guns are just gonna get themselves killed. I understand that people feel more protected carrying a gun, but they just aren't.

  • This is AWESOME. I don't even have kids but I love the way you've thought all this out. And on a completely unrelated note, you have GREAT hair. Carry on, lady!

  • Love hearing the kids in the background. Thats awesome.

  • Survival Mom, lucky Kid.

  • And to think that us guys are so picky about guns and how to carry them. I would have never thought of this scenario. Good info! Thanks for being a safe and concerned mother.

  • I'm glad we lived in safe environments when our children were young. I didn't have a pistol until after we had our fifth child.

  • @oilhammer04 So, why did you move out of that safe environment after your fifth child?? Did you know your were going to be in a safe place for your first 5 children before hand?? I can say I have lived in safety for the last 40 years, but I didn't know before hand... Most victims do not choose the time or place when they become one. The nightly new is full of people becoming victims in there house, where they once were safe. A lot of people become First Time Victims.

  • Great stare and smile at 03:20 )))

  • ^5 lima!!

  • 65 people who are uninformed and unwilling to learn.

  • Thanks so much for posting this! I am a stay at home dad with a 2yr old girl and carry everyday. I got strange looks/comments from my family when they found out that I carry and thought I was being unsafe with her since I was carrying. I'm glad you took the time to dispel some of that with this video. It's nice to see other parents that are as concerned with their family safety as I am. When seconds matter, the police are only minutes away. We are responsible for our own safety.

  • This is great information that the usual self-defense professionals would never touch. Thanks!

  • Great video!

  • you must live in some interesting neighborhood that you need to carry heat in your house.

  • @monseyhunt

Time to wake up! Do a search for "home invasion gated community". Up scale neighborhoods are prime targets. People in "good neighborhoods" feel safe and lower their guard.

  • Fantastic Job! You're Video hopefully will inspire more women to carry.

  • I need to find a woman like you!!!

  • hi Lima!

I may have asked this before, what are your holster recommendations while pregnant? I have been pregnant many times before but this will be the first time I will be concealed and carrying. With no belt loops I 'm thinking I be stuck with a shoulder holster. I just got my crossbreed a month ago:( - which I love and feel very confident about .

  • Thanks for this. I may have a kid one day and I want my wife to know that I don't have to put down my weapon to pick up the baby.

  • God that is a beautiful gun, I love your grips.

  • Your man is so lucky to have a woman like you in his life. No more victims!

  • I have two questions: 1) How do you recommend carrying while "expecting". With those lovely maternity waistbands a belt with be out of the question.

    2) How long can I expect to be able to practice target shooting. It's outdoors so I'm not concerned with inhaling a bunch of toxins. I'll leave shell pick up for my hubby and no firearm cleaning! but I want to shoot! I haven't read anything valuable anywhere. ( I realize it might be your opinion and I should consult with my midwife)

    Thanks!

  • Mom packs heat! awesome!!!

  • Word of advice to all the bad guys out there . . . women aren't always vulnerable

  • I see a dealer of both life and death. Something ironic about all of this.

  • @Str4ng3F0lk Dealer of both life and death? She's simply ready to protect her child and herself, that's all there's to it. I bet she even has a smoke detector in the house and a fire extinguisher as well. Anything ironic about that too??

  • @Str4ng3F0lk you won't be buyin' no death from her if you don't mess with her.

  • cool mom.cute baby

  • I am the mother of 7. My husband and I owned a business that would take us to rural area's. I came across many drug dealers and pedophiles in the process of doing bids. I have also been a frequent Craigslist costumer. That having been said, I got my concealed weapons permit and started carrying a 45. I never did have to use it, but I believe the reason for that is the fact that they knew I was carrying and new how to use it. We have also put our children through the gun safety course.

  • Very nice video. There should be more moms like you. Very nice looking grips on your gun.

  • This chick is great. I love this girl. She's so informative and so protective. She's not stupid. Ready for anything because theres a lot of shit that could happen at anytime. I cant stand antigun people. Thats why we have cops BS. ARgh. If I ever find a good women,... i want her to be just like limalife. so I dont have to worry.

  • Beautiful Wilson 1911 you got there! Thanks for educating the public!

  • good info. I think it is cute that baby boy wants to play with the shiny buckle.

  • 3:24 impossible not to smile back :D, thanks for the videos.

  • Great job educating people! I say people instead of just Moms, because I'm sure some pot smoking wanna be criminal has watched this and should definitely think twice about bothering Mom and her child. Keep up the great videos and don't forget to double tap.

  • @MYCOMAMA you make a great point my daughter is 4 and shoots a .380 and is an awesome shot if i must say so myself and my wife carries a .45 so it only goes to show that if those who are the most venerable know how to address the situation at hand they will survive an attack

  • OSHA classifies a safe workplace not only with the decibel level but the duration of the sound. A quick blast of noise is not as dangerous as prolonged exposure.

    A baby crying: 120 db

    Air compressor hose: 130 db

    A .45 (or 9mm or .38): 135 db

Constant exposure to a baby crying would be more damaging than the 9 shots from your .45 auto. When you look at it that way, getting baby down for a nap is more dangerous to hearing than stopping a bad guy with a full mag +1.

  • I can't get over the dislikes on this video. So, as a parent, you're ability to defend yourself diminishes when you have a child? Seems like you have more of a reason to want to defend yourself and your family.

Limalife, I don't know why you disable embedding. As an instructor, I run a blog and would love to share this with my female students.

  • Okay, seriously people who keep "beating that drum" regarding the hearing issue: Lima isn't carrying the child on her hip when she goes to the range twice a week. We are talking about an instance where the child's life might be immediately at stake due to a threat. A few defensive shots with unprotected ears is better than murder, kidnapping, rape, etc. You anti-gun people speak to us as if we are morons, completely not realizing just how ignorant and uneducated you sound.

  • @JandNChampion06 HUGE thumbs up... especially for the last remark... it gets tiring defending the right to defend the people who don't carry

  • @JandNChampion06 A lot of people who carry are ignorant too. The problem is always found at both parties, no matter how right or wrong they might be. When you disagree with someone it doesn't mean you want this person instantly gone and out of the way. It's intimidating, though, for non-carrying people (who do so out of their own, perhaps ignorant, choice) to have someone who IS carrying to tell them what is wrong or right. To a lot of people, guns are very scary.

  • @Broommaster2000

familiarize yourself with them and they will no longer be scary :)

  • the baby is so cute!!!!!!

  • I see no wedding ring and I hope you don't mind me saying, but " Very Hot". Also, what kind of 1911 is that ?

  • says something bout americans

  • says something bout anericans

  • i know this is a serious talking point, but i just dont see why any child should be anywhere near a gun,but also if someone attacked you while holding your child you would want to be able to blow his head off.

    im in two minds.

  • 40+ people disliked this video and would rather fight for their childs life and their own one handed without a gun.

  • @theprezz Thats just it.....They wouldn't fight....They would submit.

  • Super fantastic video, limalife!! You are an inspiration to gun owners and parents!! I am a father of three young children. It's great to see a woman with such care and knowledge of firearms!! Excellent job...

  • when your kids a little older you should show him this video lol i know if my mom should me this vid and i was that kid i'd think it was pretty funny

  • The phrase "shes a keeper" comes to mind.

  • @soul111smasher i would completely agree

  • hey just wondering is that a ms.sentinel

  • good for you honestly if more mothers were as level-headed and had the mindset as this women does the world would be a better place and a criminal would really have no idea who was a protected indivual

  • Oh, you Americans and your unfounded love for guns. Tsk tsk!

    -GayCanadianSoldier

  • You are doing great! You are no victim.

  • yes, he is adorable, lol

  • cute kid

  • BWHAHAHA 2:50 her husband cloned himself. He must be vain heheh.

  • brains beauty and a Wilson combat 1911! wow I'm developing a crush

  • Awesome woman

  • Its amazing the people who are will to be a victim. Nice job! Protect family and property.

  • holy shit im in love. she said magazine. not clip. she still calls it a gun rather than a weapon or side arm but she clearly knows her shtuff.

    keep it up fair lady

  • 42 dislikes? those are the people who will get shot while waiting for protection.

  • @LordSib We don't have the capacity to figure out how their minds work. Or don't work ;) Anybody who has a problem with this must really have other problems underlying the issue. I can't put any simpler. They are illogical. Could it be they are taking their own short comings, and placing them at Lima? A displacement for their own insecurities? I don't know. They aren't worth my time, and energy.

  • an armed society is a polite society.

  • Fantastic! As a mom NOTHING will ever come between me and my children.Be warned ill-meaning men and criminals. If you think a woman with a baby is an easy target think again. Our numbers are growing. My daughter begins her own training next year.By empowering those who seem most vulnerable, the world becomes safer and more free for all.

And if YOU aren't willing to protect your own family then who will?

  • @mycomama Very well stated. I couldn't agree with you more. I will drop anyone, and I mean anyone, without hesitation, should they pose even the slightest threat to my children. I don't understand the logic of un-armed women, especially those with children, The world isn't getting any friendlier and what I've always said about guns is even truer now than ever. "It's better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it."

  • I found this per a suggestion from a thepatriotnurse vid. You did an excellent job putting this together. Gives me pride to know there are Americans like you walking the streets with me. Also, this video proves that you never know what your gonna get.

  • ppl's instinctive response is to shun this idea bc kids can get a hold of guns, etc. as a competent parent, u gotta see all the ins and outs of everything, not just carrying concealed, but everything as well, schooling, household environment, babysitters, eating and sleeping patterns, clothing, baby bags, cars and car seats, EVERYTHING. Limalife and other parents, me included, have weapons all over their house and kids remain perfectly safe.

  • Heroic!

  • Great vid, I admire you and your decision not to be a victom!!

  • nice vid, anyone disagreeing go back to the sheep herd.

  • what about shoulder holster, dual carry, any suggestions ?,

  • I haven't read through all of the comments here, but I'm sure you've gotten a lot of grief over this video.

I, however, commend you for having the guts to stand up for a mother's right to protect her most valuable assets.

Teaching gun safety from birth and being a responsible gun owner breeds another generation ready, willing, and able to defend.

Serious kudos to you for having the courage to do these videos when women are looked down for for being responsible gun owners still.

  • First thing I thought of with this vids was the end of the movie Hard-Boiled! :) Seriously, though, at first I thought this is the most disturbing thing I've ever seen but as other posters have said it does actually make perfect sense when you think about it; one of those "you might never need to do this, but if you do, you'll want to do it right!" One of those things a guy would likely never think of, yet is fundamentally important if you had a baby.

  • At first I thought this was crazy, but the more I watched the more it made sense. I personally will never have a gun in my home, but I respect that you do, and that you stand up for your rights as a woman, as a mother, and as a citizen of our country :)

  • There needs to be more women like you! Not afraid to fight! Nice! Your my dream girl! Keep up the good work!

  • Love it! I just forwarded this link to the ladies in my life! Thank you for this suuuuuuuuper important information!

  • very informative! I believe that a woman definitely should be able to protect her child. I think she is doing the best she can to protect her child's ears and keep it and herself safe!

  • I think you are a patriot and a heck of a mother. Utilize your freedom to protect the ones you love. Don't rely on anyone to perform that duty for you.

  • is it legal to carry where you live? , do you carry your 1911 condition 1 ?, do you use safety, half cook ? , or just the hammer on rest position ?.

thanks a lot great videos !

  • @p3la0 I answer all of these questions in my "Conditions of Readiness for the 1911" video.

  • Wow, very unique info. I don't have a baby, but this is great info.

  • Might make it a habit to have earplugs or similar protection that can cover your baby's ears if your going to be needing to use a gun.

  • @icecoldlemonade "hold on Mr. Mugger, while I strap those them earplugs on my kid".

  • The most awesome video on Youtube!

  • Clearly you folks are American. This is disgusting.

  • Very, very good!

  • EXCELLENT! Absolutely fanstastic!

  • BTW JUST TO PROVE THAT UR A DUMBASS .. UCAN DO SERIOUS DAMAGE TO your child eardrum

  • @bilal388 would you rather have the kid die

  • @bilal388 better than a dead/kidnapped child

  • U are BONAFIDE DUMB ASS.....WTF would u carry a gun with a baby unless ur AL Capone

  • @bilal388 WTF do people eat McDonalds or smoke cigarettes? Smoking and crappy diet kill more people than CHL trained firearm owners do. Get a grip.

  • One thing no one mentioned. When firing a fire arm within the house or any closed in area the sound of the gun firing will blow out that childs eardrums. Especially a 45 cal.

  • This is the type of women the world needs, a loving caring mother, who can also defend herself and her child to the max with minimal consequence. My 1st impressions of a mother with a firearm and her baby I'd be seriously worried... but not now, this is very reassuring!

    Thanks for the vids!

  • This is an awesome video!! Good demonstration on holding a baby and a gun at the same time.

  • AWESOME! I too am a packing mother and am so excited to see more women taking responsibility for the safety of their children.

Mr. Bad Guy is in for a surprise if he ever tries to hurt you and your child!

    Keep up the great work!

  • i love you

  • bitch its not a good combination having a baby and a gun

  • @jkilllllla It's the best combination. Works way better than a baby and a pocket knife.

  • @jkilllllla y? cause she's no longer a target?

  • THATS FUCKING AWSOME! altough carrying a 1911 in condition one like that with a baby kindof got me thinking you'd be safer with a glock! but whatever works for you im not gunna argue with an armed mother lol

  • Awww he is Adorable...Guarantee his friends are gonna hear this alot "NO WAY MAN If i did that my mom would kick my ass!"

  • awesome info.cute baby.

  • can u carry a gun to street ?

  • GREAT VIDEO ITS GOOD TO SEE YOU PUTTING A VIDEO OUT PROMOTING CARRY OF A FIREARM AS A MOTHER WITH HER CHILD

  • Momma Packing heat :)thats cool.

  • i dont think the 2 handed would be good the baby would go deff but on had and turning dont seem to bad if its leave or die id try covering there eras

  • wow i would never let my wife hold a baby with a gun idc if she dose enytime els but she wouldent hold a gun with a baby were do u live in the south were all people are retarted and fucking stupid as hell i jsut lost all my respect for you bitch dont bring a gun near a baby unless its life or death you stupid fucking bitch

  • @theredone09 She is retarded? How about checking your spelling and grammar. I don't think you are in any position to comment on someone else's opinions. You must be from the north where people can't see the big picture.

  • @theredone09 better be an alive bitch than a dead dumbhead.

  • Interesting video - but for me, who lives in Europe, very disturbing. The picture of holding a baby and carrying a gun, seems fundamentally wrong to me.

Children and weapons don't mix. Guns are for soldiers and law enforcement. No ordinary citizen should carry a gun or be allowed to.

    ... and flame away.

  • @jdaxses Because you live in Europe I can see your direction of thought. You are not used to having the right to defend yourself properly (I don't mean that as an insult, I mean that as a reality of legal restriction).

Guns are for soldiers and for law enforcement. Neither of which are present when someone is breaking into your home or trying to kidnap your child.

Ordinary citizens should definitely be able to carry a gun. This is why America has the second amendment.

  • @jdaxses I'm an Italian, wich makes me an European, and I do not approve of this message.

You chose to defend yourself, since you have the right to do so,

while you refuse to protect God's most precious gift you've ever been given?

that makes no sense at all.

Oh, for the "soldiers and law enforcement", that worked really well here in Italy, 60 years ago.

Until some partisans with pitchforks and shotguns started to disagree.

  • @jdaxses UK? :) Anyway, I live in Europe as well. And I don't agree - guns are not only for soldiers and LE...

  • Thank you for posting this.

  • wow,what an awesome woman!!!!

    You go girl

  • awesome video , your like a super awesome mom

  • This is solid. Too bad it is very hard for the United States of America to accept and be comfortable with.

  • A mom with a gun...I like it!!!!!!!!

  • Thanks for discussing this topic. As a soon to be a father of twins, it is nice to see a topic like this covered. After all, I carry to protect my family.

Your videos have been a great example of responsible, strong and independent women. I have had my wife watch several but only got her up to carry a taser.

    Keep up the great work!!!

  • Amazing woman! Wish more people took charge of their own and their family's safety like this! :)

  • Sexy, Smart, woman. Sweet bobtail Wilson
