  • Where is his helmet??

  • MOONTAAGE!

  • Geeesh. ... Plane was a mile away. Ya this guy needs a new rig. Flaps everywhere.

  • I love the riser covers and main flap goin all over the place. A gear check might have been nice????

  • this video would have been alot funner if the plane actually hit him.

  • 72 people actually got hit

  • @tiger81710 what an original comment !

  • Richard Simmons after BOTOX.

  • Hellz no, no skydiving in AZ...everyone knows REAL skydivers go to Z-Hills ;-)

  • what if his shoes flew off that would suck

  • They do that to scare the diver.

  • Where is his emergency chute?!

  • @openminded1313

Most all sport rigs these days are what they used to call 'tandem rigs' because instead of the chest-mounted reserve, both main and reserve canopies are worn on the back...in tandem. Term isn't used any more because of the popularity of tandem jumping with its specialist tandem equipment.

  • lol tig your it :D

  • right as he jumped you could hear that noise... thats him screaming rofl

  • one of the best natural skydiving films i have seen not to fancy not to crazy just right every thing came in perfect

  • WTF was the pilot thinking... I'll never go skyding in Arizona :)

  • The pilot is very lucky as he could have had a manslaughter charge against him

  • @imdabitchtits no he is not dead.

  • @MissSpannerZ what do you mean he is on TV?

  • @Jaromellz could be norwigian tv? :/

  • That pilot is a dick

  • wow, a spam homosexuality comment fight on a youtube video about skydiving. humans never cease to amuse me.

  • do a barrel roll!!!

  • Nice jump!!

  • He probably wishes that wind resistance was a penis.

  • Fag down! Fag Down!

  • looks like the arir fied in gta san andreas

  • One of my all time favourite videos on youtube!

  • The music makes the video all that much better, espically when i queued in as he jumped.

  • *thinks a moment* I am going to learn how to skydive!

  • this is fukin awesome, that dude looks like hes having a blast.

  • you whuffos will never understand skydivers, just cause he is doing that does not mean hes gay, maybe hes doing it for laughs. its all part of being secure with your sexuality. with that aside, he had no idea how close he came to death in this one!

  • it looked like an incipient spin or something the way it kicked to the side after he jumped

  • First time I jumped I was amazed that the jump plane landed long before I did. It's crazy how fast they can get back down to the airstrip.

  • what is he gonna do if his backpack flys away?:D

  • haha gross view at 0:54 seconds lolz

  • hey you could spend all this money learning how to skydive or join the marines HALO/HAHO progam...:))

  • close ur flaps ?

  • Why does it matter if this guy is gay or not? All that matters is that he is having fun doing something extremely badass.

  • awesome video!

  • is plain okey?

  • HOLY WINDSCREEN BATMAN. turn ur mic off lol

  • hahaha danger zone it right...all he needed was to have his reserve flap pop open and then have a premature!

deff not a freefly safe rig lol

  • What junk gear. Riser cover have come off and reserve flap is open.

  • @xxCanuck I think it is his main flap thats open+ te riser covers. Still quite stupid to jump like that.

  • @Canuck Well said mate! I wouldn't feel comfortable trusting my life with sub-par EQ while partaking in such a dangerous sport to begin with.

  • LOL when the plane almost hits him and the music makes it worse

  • Why all the 'gay' comments? He seems to be having a great amount of fucking fun, don't destroy that. Great video man, makes we want to try it myself.

  • I've gone skydiving, and I love anything that flies...but for the LOVE OF GOD please stop putting "Highway to the Danger Zone" on flying/gliding/skydiving videos!

  • the dude is dangerous.. almost the photographer too!

  • danger zone danger zone

  • That CHICK is havin' a blast! Check @ 00:54, No further questions your honor!

  • It looked closer than it probably was. Though it looks really close on this video. It's common to have the plane pass you in free fall if you are the last jumper(s).

Cost of certification in US is ~$1000-1200 for 7 AFF jumps. You then need a total of 25 jumps along with completion of various skills checklist. Used gear is minimum $1200 used and basic. More like $3000 for good used gear. All in all I budgeted $5000 when I started 4 years ago. Jump tickets range from $15-30 depending on the DZ.

  • Just Cause 2 :D

  • He reminds me of Hank Hill...

  • pure fag!

  • 0:43 That was the Gayest Backflip I've ever seen in a skydive, but he kept such Perfect form with his arms. A for effort.

  • Awesome!

  • fake and gay

  • where the plane go

  • great song for the vid but yea he did seem kinda flakey

  • I don't get you people. So what if he's gay? How does that make this video any less awesome? It never ceases to amaze me how people are so threatened by the insecurity they feel with their own inadequate masculinity that they feel the need to insult someone's sexual orientation based on what he does in a video just so they can feel more manly. Grow up.

  • @CreamPuff84 I agree. Finally someone mature on youtube. :)

  • @CreamPuff84 Agreed!

  • @CreamPuff84 i know whos gay!

  • @CreamPuff84 The only thing "gay" about this vid is the song! But yea, I agree with you 100%

  • @CreamPuff84 Fag

  • HAHAHA gay

  • lol play roflcopter than u now what i mean

  • ear rape

  • People need to learn the difference between being a goof and having fun, to being gay.

  • someone should drop a camera from a plane when its recording that would be awesome

  • lol...what makes you gay people think this is a gay skydiver? I'm not gay so you know, just wondering what makes this guy gay, if he was wouldn't he have his buddy flying on his back?

  • Hubertcake

    Haha

  • watch the gay guys cheeks jiggle

  • i would need a lot of alchohol, or drugs to do that...

  • Wow man u needed a serious gear check. Closing pin flap was open. Riser covers were open. Lucky u didn't have a brake come unstowed and rap all ur lines up causing u to have to chop it. Pay a lil more attention next time

  • Did he just said "I LOVE YOU" Then a flying kiss

    WOW ahahha GAYY!!ANG GAYY

  • @gabrieltheintcik May be it was his gf that was filming.... But i don't thing so..... He looks gay and act like one so.....

  • How much time do you need to put into learning how to solo-skydive? Also, what will proper gear cost?

  • @PerKristian93 Not sure. It was a friend of mine that did the jump and I've since lost contact with him.

  • @Jaromellz Probally died doing it lol

  • @Jaromellz :(

  • @Jaromellz he's dead

  • @Jaromellz is he dead ?

  • @Jaromellz the friend of your is on tv

  • @PerKristian93 a lot of time! gear is expensive first hand but second hand gear in good shape is affordable

  • @PerKristian93 Im pretty sure that in order to get a liscence to solo skydive you haveto first get your AFF level 1 which consists of 7 static line jumps and 23 assisted jumps with instructors holding on to you.

All of the jumps together should total around 1500$ and that includes the ground training. Just contact your local skydiving airport and tell them that you want to get your basic liscence to jump solo (they like it if you call ahead)

A rig should run you about 1000$ :) hope that helps

  • @PerKristian93 i think its 30 hrs before a solo jump.

  • @PerKristian93 it's not time. It took me 24 hours to pass the 8 jumps i needed to make through AFF (Accelerated Free Fall) course. Some people go through it quickly, for others it takes longer. "Proper" gear, as in a decent set of second hand gear, will be $3000+, brand new custom made top of the line gear will set you back closer to $7000.

  • @PerKristian93 i just got my A license it cost me around 2400 dollars and time it dependes on often u can go and jump to complete your 25 jumps it took me 3 months and took my friend 3 weeks so basically it how often you go hope this helps

  • @PerKristian93

usually i takes +- 10 jumps to learn basics of skydive. If the weather is good You can do it in 2-3 days - usually AFF coourse takes 2 weekends. If You want to buy Your own gear i will cost You about 3-4k $, but most of dropzones rents a gear, so U dont need to have Your own.

  • @PerKristian93 you may have got lots of replies before but whatever: You have to do an AFF, it's about $3000, or 1800 euro's. Really depands on where you live. Gear can be really expensive. I forgot the prices but I think it's about $5.000 - $10.000. The AFF is totally worth it though!

  • @PerKristian93 it costs about $2500 to get your A-license if you jump consistently and dont fail any of your AFF jumps. Gear ranges in cost from $3000 to $6000.

  • @PerKristian93 just use a bed sheet ull be fine tell me how u get on

  • @PerKristian93 Second-hand gear where I live costs anything between €1,500-6000. The skydiving certificate costs €1190. Each jump when you've got the certificate costs about €16 from 3,000 meters.

  • Oh yeah... also it's a course going over 2 weekends here, but I'd say you put in about 40 hours of learning and executing the jumps into getting the certificate.

  • @PerKristian93 Its roughly 11 instructed jump AFAIK. All the gear brand new.... at least $8k where i come from (Australia)

  • @PerKristian93

to learn AFF you have to do 7 lvl's. this lvl's are probebly 1 week. but you have to pass many other aff jumps for u'r licens for jumping all over the world. i think it was 30 but i'm not sure. how much the gear cost i don't know sorry ;(

(sorry about the bad english i'm swiss ;) )

  • @PerKristian93

there are 8 minimum jumps required for a class A license. proper gear. anywhere from 6,000 up. dont buy gear off the go, youll want to demo different containers and chutes before dropping that type of coin.

  • @KolombianNecktie well, 8 - 25 is still the student period, but its solo

  • @KolombianNecktie 25 jumps minumum. 8 catagories to pass

  • @PerKristian93 Honestly it doesnt cost that much. As far as being able to solo dive you have to have a minimum of 5 double jumps. After you do all that and buy your own gear(which is not necassary) it only costs about 30 35 bucks per dive to sky dive on your own.

  • @mastercueartist

    psych

  • @mastercueartist the latest AFF doesnt require five tandems. you can solo the first jump after a 5 hour class and you jump with two instructors the first three jumps, and one instructor jumps 4-7, jumps 8-12 with one coach, jump 13 is a low altitude solo, and then 7 more solo jumps. you need at least 25 jumps total

  • @stup922 Not that I am saying you are wrong...but just to tell you...I am curiuos what the guy was talking about 6 months ago when my mom went skydiving and he said you needed 5?

  • @PerKristian93 you need about 5 static line jumps - then you can start free fall.

  • @PerKristian93

It depends on a person, but in average it takes 15 jumps to get a solo license. For the first solo jump there is a 5 hours training.

  • @PerKristian93 -- if i remember correctly the training will set you back around $2500- $3000 (depending on the club which will include the cost of solo license) + cost of Parachute (depends on the one you pick). Total time frame is just a few weeks. You will need to do ground lessons + multiple jumps with instructors.

  • @PerKristian93 Need to do 9 or 10 jumps to learn to jump solo. It's the Accelerted freefall course. Go to your local DZ and ask for prices. After you have 30 - 50 jumps yu buy your own gear, will cost 4- 5 grand for everything you need.

  • @PerKristian93 alot off money , time , and patience .

  • @PerKristian93,

Most training programs run between $2,400 & $3,000. Time spent is anywhere from eight days to several months. Weather being the main determinant. You can buy a very nice used system for $2,000-$3,500. Renting costs about $100 per day.

  • @PerKristian93 that is not propper gear tbh :p

  • @PerKristian93

google Accelerated Free Fall or AFF. it's about 9 jumps for the basic courses, but if you want to jump in many dropzones you need the "A" license which takes 25 jumps + parachute packing course. gonna start mine next summer. around here it runs 2600 buckaroos...

  • @PerKristian93 Where you live dude? I just am getting into it too, i'm looking into a course that will end up costing about 1800 dollars total :P haha i'm in canada i'll get about 8 jumps, all from 10'500 feet.

  • @PerKristian93 you need to do a AFF course wich consists in 7 jumps with instructors after that you can jump solo. but i have to say that by the first jump you will land alone and thats pure adrenaline. You can see my aff course in my youtube channel. subscribe because i will put more videos soon.

  • @PerKristian93 Most people do AFF training which would be at least 7 jumps (more if you don't pass them all on first try). After that I believe you can do solo jumps with minimum supervision, and at 25 jumps you can attempt to get your A-License which allows you to solo / group jump without a supervision. You can get your own gear from $2000 - $6000..

  • @PerKristian93 1500 euros and one week

  • The sky-divers not gay, but the song is....still have night-mares about "Footloose"...

  • @celloprofundo this songs from TOP GUN.

  • @ishtech101 ...I was referring to kenny loggins and his other sucky song, 'footloose"...don't google it ; )...ear-worms from hell.com....thanks though

  • I've never done this before, so I was just wondering why it seems like they pull the chute so early

  • @TheHorseLady1212 maybe they wont wont to die lol probably so u dont have a second to pull it to make sure your parachute works

  • @TheHorseLady1212 If the first chute doesn't open properly they have time to open their reserve chute.

  • @Jaromellz is it true that a skydiver has to pack THEIR own parachute? I wouldnt think so, but would love to skydive and definatly wouldnt wanna fuck that up..

  • @ishtech101 Yes you do pack your own chute but not until you know how. The instructors are very safe and check the chutes before going up. They won't let you F anything up.

  • Guy filming: Hahaa pussy pullin' your parachute, turns round HAAHAA... SHIT EATH :O

    Pussy: Wankeeer!

  • he looks like ice man...

  • fake

  • Sorry, it's a nice visual but if a pilot did that to me it would be on!!!

"looks close but isn't " my friggin arse!!!

You can get cool visuals etc without being a dickhead!

    -Ppl holder and 6k jumps

  • IT looks close, but it isnt.

  • did he just do a cannon ball?

  • @screameverything LOL The best comment on this vid so far!!!

  • What is up with the open Main pin flap and riser covers??? you're just asking for a pre-mature deployment and trouble. Who ever is doing your pin check needs to look out for these things for yours and others safety/

  • I could have used some more shirtless tight jean all guy volleyball.

  • what the heck is up with all these negative comments, do you people have nothing better to do? its just a video.

  • @thesheversion not really

  • FAG!

  • I think i know her

  • was that guy gay?

  • @beer94 No he's metro.

  • @beer94 dus it matter

  • @beer94 thats the first thing i said after watching 0:38

  • @beer94 no its a women xD

  • 0:25 HEY BILL *WHAP*

  • lotsa movements with a velcro rig...

  • sky diving is a really cool activity but this guy somehow managed to show it as gay as possible ...but that plane almost killing him was fun to watch .!

  • @shadowfax1903 Gay skydiving is cool...

  • For a second, I thought the camera wasn't gonna pull his chute.

  • OK! *jumps* EAR RAPE

  • I dont think he knew the plane was behind him lol

  • I gone skydiving once with a friend for his birthday I was very scared thinking my chute wouldn't open but I was wrong

  • @CptSpaceball Clearly...

  • I'm impressed the way the plane is able to descend faster than the freefall velocity of the skydiver.

I wonder whether that means the plane could dive down and "rescue" a skydiver who has jumped out forgetting to put on their parachute? I can imagine the conversation: "Here mate you forgot something..."

  • @neil9327 funny hearing some of the misinformed comments here!

The plane is called a Pilatus Porter and controls descent rate via the prop, in that it can go vertically down for an extended time hence the great visuals. However as a PPL holder and 6,000+ jumps I would be rather pissed off if this was me. I know how far away he/she/it! was and the aircraft passed between that person and the videographer. *NOT* COOL!!!!!!

  • @MgpMontville If you watch it again you can clearly see the plane on the other side of the diver not between the diver and the camera flyer.

  • SEEMS TO ME YOU CAN SEE THE DIVER THROUGH THE PLANE., or vice versa....maybe it's a video thing

  • song + skydiving good mix

  • Ok, I don't sky dive, could anyone who does tell me why did the plane pull that kind of dive, and what is the flap that's loose on the guys chute pack ?

  • @Postie218 The planes dive to save gas. takes less time to get down.

  • @Postie218

plane is descending to the ground quickly to get the next load and/or refuel. Quick turnaround (loads per hour is key to an efficient operation)..

The flap thats loose on his back is a pin cover. The pin is attached to the pilot chute that pulls the canopy out at opening time. The pin cover protects the pin from getting snagged by the plane or other jumpers moving about. Shouldnt be flapping about....maybe not closed properly....maybe gear is not is good condition

  • I only liked this cuz they use top gun as the song

  • at 0;27 i lughed so hard i almost shit myself i was expexting it to come in like that thatd suck havin a plane fly in your ass

  • it looks like he is floating

  • I sure hope he didn`t mix his lunch pack with his chute pack heheheh.

  • in the end the get tangled and the music stops "oh shit"

  • lucky he swimming in air away before he get hits at the beginning

  • Damn! Look at his face at 1:06 rofl. Looks like it would hurt.

  • @ 0:34 he has no clue what just happened

  • Please just use a properly trained instructor. You can find certified drop zones through the United States Parachute Association (USPA) or you national association. Most countries have one. Canada, UK, South Africa, Australia, and many other places I have jumped. It is a self-regulated industry so just make sure you are not going to a "bandit" drop zone that doesn't follow the safety rules. Jump safe and you will still be alive in 20 years. I am. And loved every one of those jumps.

  • Dtroy357 understands. The joy of getting your knees in the breeze. Bring back the freefall convention!!

    Rodriguez brother #007

  • Skydiving is about flying. This pilot is also flying. He is very experienced and GOOD. I have photos of a plane I have left passing me in freefall. He had engines and could descend faster. This is just cool, I wish I had video and not stills of a super king-air passing me and the pilot waved as he went by.

  • nice video, nice flying...

    ABSOLUTE CRAPPY GEAR!!!

  • Aren't you supposed to wear a helmet when skydiving???

  • @TheScottBuckingham You don't have to wear a helmate, if u become a professiolan skydiver with more than 20 individual jumps. Any ways if ur parashute failed to open, I don't think hemate would help alot lol

  • @toy741life Most of us wear the helmet for protection against hitting your head exiting the plane etc- and being unconscious at 10k feet..

  • @TheScottBuckingham

I didn't have to wear one when I went from 18k....
