  • I wasn't at youtube for a few months, and people still argue over one word of the whole tribute? I've already stated that English is not my mother tongue. Since I'm not perfect (pun intended), maybe I made a mistake. I explained to you why I think "epitaph" is the correct word, but I don't see why the debate got so heated.

Let me tell you something, guys: It simply doesn't matter. I made this video to HONOR CURT HENNING. So why don't you just calm down and enjoy the memories of him?

  • Too bad Curt was also the Perfect Cocaine User!

And his buddy Scott Hall will soon join him in the grave due to his alcohol abuse.

...The last time I saw him, not long ago, I'll say it would be a miracle if Hall lives to see 2012 the way he's going. Such a mess!

  • III hate rap

  • I wish WWE would just call Joe by his real name and honor the "Perfect" family legacy of the Hennigs, and not "Michael McGillicuddy"

  • Curt died at a pretty young age but you can't say that he didn't make the most of his life during his time on this earth.

  • how did he die?

  • Ummm... let me just say that it's a eulogy he wrote, not an epitaph. I know he called it an epitaph on the paper, but he also called the words in a song a "lyrec" (lyric) and mispelled "Chapen." (Chapin).

  • 'Mr. Perfect' wasn't a gimmick. That was just Curt Hennig being awesome.

  • Proud Minnesotan product and an amazing technical wrestler. RIP Mr. Perfect

  • The legendary Curt Hennig! We will miss you! WWE Should have given McGuillicutty a chance!

  • shame about all the pill popping

  • The uncrowned WWE Champion. Mr.Perfect RIP.

  • I WAS LIVING IN LAS VEGAS IN THE MID 80'S EVERY WKEND MY MOM WOULD RENT ME ROOM AT THE SHOWBOAT SO C &HANG WITH THE WRESTLING. BOY IT WAS ALWAYS A KILLER TIME! WELL CURT AND I HAD GOT VERY CLOSE 2 SAY THE LEAST. SMILES. HE HAD ASKED MY MOTHER IF HE COULD MARRY ME AFTER RETURNING FROM A TRIP 2 JAPAN. SAD 2 SAY MY MOM SAID NO I WAS TOO YOUNG. I WILL ALWAYS LOVE & MISS CURT & HE STILL O'S ME A JAW MESSAGE! HI SHAWN RIP MARTY LOVE DENISE FROM VEGAS

  • Thats a good tribute video mate, fair play.

  • In his prime, Curt Hennig would have had outstanding matches with Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero, Dean Malenko, Perry Saturn, Kurt Angle, and Bryan Danielson (to name a few).

  • @DarkWraith

in their primes eddie, chris, dean, perry, kurt, danielson would have had outstanding matches with a curt henning of any age.

because simply put, he was perfect.

(i still long to see a match today the caliber of bret-perfect & flair-perfect)

  • @sayanroy36 A Curt Hennig vs. Jushin Liger or Curt vs. Ultimo Dragon match would've been on the short list for Pro Wrestling Illustrated's Match Of The Year award.

  • I stood up from my chair for the 10 bell salute.

  • this was really great, too bad you couldn't use the TNA theme song he used at the time. that would have been really good with this video.

  • thank you for posting this and puting the rap is crap song on your tribute ( put a smile on my face ). Missing the old days of wrestling. rip curt!

  • Nice video man! RIP Curt.

  • Greatest wrestler to have never won the WWE title. The amount of talent in this guy was ridiculous. RIP Curt...

  • Larry talked about this conservation in his "epitaph" to Curt, did he? The word you want is "eulogy," genius.

  • @seikogoldwatch2009 He did write an epitaph to his son, and the quote is taken from it. Google it if you don't believe it.

And btw: Thank you for your very friendly comment. Based on your approach to a person you have never met, I guess you are one of the fans Dixie Carter talked about when she testified to Congress? You know, the "40-Year-Old Virgin"-reference?

  • @RestinPeaceChris

Eulogy IS what you mean. Epitaph is what you write on a gravestone. Eulogy is what you say at funerals and remembrance ceremonies.

  • @Thumper17 Since you are far more polite than seikogoldwatch, I'll answer you seriously. I put a link to the whole text and a picture of the epitaph in the video description, since youtube seems to block links in comments. Below the text, it says "Click here to see picture of Larry's epitaph to Curt". In the text itself, it says: "No Father should have to write his son's epitaph". And to me, it does look like one. So I guess it IS an epitaph. Thanks for your comment, though.

  • @RestinPeaceChris

I think he just made a reference to needing to write the epitaph for his sons grave. Although he did write a very good eulogy there. I think his son should go by "Flawless" Joe Hennig. Instead of Mcgillicuty. Kind of an insult to not use his name, all things considered.

  • @seikogoldwatch2009 Be nice.

  • @DrewBludd Blow me. And enough of the blarney. This asshole said epitaph, when it was eulogy he should've said. He's a moron.

  • @DrewBludd Eat shit.

  • @seikogoldwatch2009 You know, buddy, I usually delete comments with swear words. But since your comments actually do more harm to your own reputation than to those of other users or me, I let it stand here. It's your decision to embarass yourself by swearing in a discussion like this. Attacking someone who you don't know personally is bad enough, but this? I'm an asshole and a moron because I used a word that might be wrong? C'mon! Really man, your behaviour here is ridiculous.

  • the best ever !

  • Perfect should have been the WWF Champ. I always loved how he would laugh at the thought of being afraid of either Hogan or Warrior, yet those two were the ones who would stop him in his tracks.

  • Curt was a class act and probably the best heel in the biz. Curt was a showman and no matter how big a heel, he was always fun to watch. :(

  • your right he shouldve held the world title but he wasnt an asskisser so that didnt happen

  • please raise guys.............RAISE !

  • @grapper6676: I couldn't agree w/U more!

  • He should have been WORLD CHAMP.

  • Mr. Perfect.

  • He was a great wrestler.

  • I remember the one time he entered into a battle royal, and rather than fight people in the ring, he would just hang on the ropes on the outside avoiding punishment and conserving energy. I thought it was freaking GENIUS. The guy had the perfect strategy. Too bad he didn't have the perfect outcome. Man I loved Mr. Perfect. He was one of the best. I bet you right now he's probably drinking a cold one up in heaven with Ric Rude, arguing over who was the better champ.

  • I like how when coming to the ring he would spit out his gum and hit it with his hand and then show off his perfect tricep muscles.

  • Haha. Yeah, i try that every time i chew gum. Sometimes i miss, and end up looking stupid. But he never once even came close to missing. Bet he could do it blindfolded, whilst on his phone, sleepwalking. Perfectly.

  • So do i with the same results as u i hit sometimes and miss others hahaha

  • Easily the best musical intro EVER.

  • R.I.P Curt

  • R.I.P Mr.Perfect..... One of the greatest pro wrestlers ever to step into the ring!!!!!!!

  • We miss you Mr Perfect!

Thank you for some off the best matches in Wrestling history

You deserved to be the world champion, and id love to see you take a Perfect Plex on cena, beat him up and win !

wrestling have lost so many great wrestlers last decade

    Rip Curt

  • one of the greats

  • I was lucky to watch a match in yuma az in Oct 1990 when he wrestled The Texas Tornado Kerry Von Erich. It was "Perfect"

  • rip ... but why that rap is crap song

  • it goes back to some skits in wcw. perfect and some of his guys got into it with master p. needless to say, it was perfect.

  • @jay02120 cuz rap is crap

  • He was the greatest IC-Champ of all times.

    One of my favorute Wrestlers

    R.I.P Curt we miss you

  • Comment removed

  • one of Perfects best matches was for the intercontental tital against bret hart, I remember when I was a kid, I dont think there has been such a full on move for move techinical wrestling match since.

  • Death is a golden key, that opens the palace of eternity

  • Curt never got the push he queit deserved he should have became wwf or wcw champ

  • how did he die again ? just wondering

  • cocaine

  • *rise not raise

  • You're right, sorry. This happens when you write in a foreign language, I guess ;-).

  • @RestinPeaceChris Restinpeacechris? No rest in peace his INNOCENT wife and son who were brutally and sadistaclly murdered by him. Chris benot is resting...but not in peace...in HELL..and rightfully so.

  • one of the greatest wrestlers of all time with the greatest entrance of all time

  • never really appreciated how good of a wrestler he was wehn i was young but now that im a bit older he was one of the greats,.. there will only ever be one mr. perfect

  • omg Scott Hall....lol great pic!

    Razor Ramon himself!

  • Perrrrrrrrfect!!!!

  • Mr Perfect was so talented.

It was such a big loss for Pro Wrestling when he passed away.

  • great work Chris

  • One of the top ten wrestler's of all time

  • tears

  • Comment removed

  • simply perfect

  • class tribute m8

  • I did not like Mr. Perfect when I was a kid, but looking back as an adult I really enjoyed watching him. His gimmick was also entertaining. I feel the same way about The Million Dollar Man. The late-80s and early-90s was really a golden age in wrestling, and Mr. Perfect was part of it.

  • It not holding a title that makes a westler great it's their abilty to get the fans into the match and their abilty to westle. RIP perfect

  • Awesome tribute brother.

  • Curt Hennig was one of the best. Period.

  • He was, sad way he went out tho,

  • Yeah, that's true. A lot of great wrestlers died tragically.

  • I hope all the mcmahons goout the same way, seriously....

  • That would be poetic justice, considering all of the lives that they have destroyed.

  • Great Minds Think Alike Buddy...

  • Absolutely Perfect man

  • RIP to one of the best ever, and THE BEST to never win the WWF/WWE title. its an injustice that he never got to hold it

  • couldnt have said it better, like Hennig, owen hart was another deserving of the title, its such an injustice to see so many wresters easily achieving it now when these guys worked for years and yet didnt

  • RIP mr. Perfect

  • Perfection continued!!!

  • i didnt stand but i liked

  • good tribute to a perfect wrestler.

    5 star dude.

but i prefered curt on wwf.

  • Perfect.......*****

  • He is among many others a measuring stick in the wrestling business.

I'm Happy I Have got to see him wrestle, and learned seeing him, what a true talented wrestler is supposed to look like

    tanks Curt.

  • curt rocks great video

  • Absolutly Perfect!!

  • A++ video sir, it was......... Perfect

  • Rap is crap i loved that when he was in wcw R.I.P

  • I liked the West Texas Rednecks.I remember when Nitro was here in Memphis back in July of 1999,they were getting cheers while Master-P was getting booed out of the building.

  • He deserved a bigger pop @ ROYAL RUMBLE...

Dude was my fav wrestler...entrance music owns as well. Love how he would sneak that PerfectPlex outta no-where as well.

    PURE CLASS.

It speaks volumes at how many other wrestlers talk about Perfect's wrestling's skills as well.

  • Truly one of the greats. Such talent and charisma. Rest in peace Curt, we'll never forget you.

  • damn heaven just got more perfect rip curt , & his matches with greg gagne were classic!

  • how did he die?

  • I hate to say it, but he died from a cocaine overdose. His father said that the combination of steroids and painkillers had already weakened his heart before.

  • bret was exclent but he was not perfect,r.i.p. curt

  • THE BEST WRESTLER EVER. Ric Flair is the GREATEST but Curt Hennig is the best.

  • One of favourite wrestlers, 100% perfect, deserved a World Title!

  • is that Razor Ramon in 1:07 ?

  • yeah.. Scott Hall is Razor...

  • that bell sounds shit!

    that is a disgraceful salute!!!

  • Absolutely perfect. The best ever along with Bret Hart.

  • My favorite wrestler of ALL TIME.

    Best damn Music as well....

    Perfect IC Champ....

He was fucking PERFECT even without the WWF title..

    R.I.P Legend...

  • simply an outstanding athlete.enuff said!! R.I.P. Curt.your in a PERFECT world now!!

  • glad to see ric and curt remained friends, would've sucked if shitty booking tore em apart behind the scenes

  • i gotta tell u man,its great to see a young kid actually respect wrestling and its wrestlers, not many younger fans do that

  • who did he lost the wcw us title to?

  • He lost it to DDP on Starrcade 97. On this night, both the US and the World Title were taken away from nWo.

  • It was'nt so "perfect" when he was found dead over a bag of coke was it??

  • that was uncalled for

  • mmafan82, why? i am not saying he was not great...he was one of my favorites, as was benoit...but face facts, he died over a bag of coke...fact...it is what it is...no one has a problem saying how owen died...so why not be truthful...henning turned into a drug addict...sad but true.

  • yes it was sad. but the way you worded it was disrespectful. no matter how someone dies, they don't deserve to be mocked.

  • I could have worded it different, but why? heres a prime example of a waste of a great man to the evils of drugs...and no-one held a gun to curts head and made him do it...its a fuckin shame. and for that i am dissapointed with his final decision in life.

  • I was not in the internet for a while, otherwise, I probably would have deleted your first comment due to the way you worded it. However, your explanation proves me that you were a fan too, and I understand your disappointment. The reason I don't like talking about drug-related deaths is simple: Non-wrestling fans don't know anything about the wrestlers, the only thing they'll notice is "Ha, another one who died from drugs!" I try to protect the wrestlers' reputation in a way. I do talk openly

  • about their deaths when talking to a wrestling fan, because he knows what other things they have accomplished and what great things they have done in the business. And he knows what they go through and why many of them just can't stand it any more and start taking drugs.

Somehow, it's like wrestling fans have developed a new form of kayfabe: Talk openly when you are among other fans, but try to protect the sport and the athletes from "the others". They don't respect them anyway, why worsen it?

  • word

  • its a shame guys like curt, rick rude, bulldog & owen hart aint around now in there prime they would be sure to become what they deserved then to be headliners week in week out and world champs

  • Nicely done!!!!

  • Perfect ..................

  • When I was a kid I never realised how talented guys like Mr. Perfect, and Ravishing Rick Rude were. I took it for granted, but at least I got see them in their prime, and for that I'll be forever grateful.

  • R.I.P Curt. You truly were Perfect in every sense of the word. We miss you.

  • That's, my friend, was the PERFECT TRIBUTE

  • Dude he was awesome--He had the best gimmick of all time....no wait, he had the PERFECT gimmick.

  • Thank you for promising to delete any insults. I think You Tube ought to NOT allow insulting foul language in the comments.

  • I'm used to be sneered at for being a wrestling fan, and over the years, you become thick-skinned if someone offends wrestling or the wrestlers. However, if anyone attacks a dead wrestler, I'll get angry. These guys have done so much for us, so I think it's our duty to defend them. Besides, it's tasteless to attack dead people.

I have already deleted a few comments who insulted Curt or the other wrestlers I made videos for, because in my opinion, these comments should not even be discussed.

  • "You might be excellent, but you ain't PERFECT!"

  • Curt Hennig=Greatness

  • Always in our hearts.

  • The greatest Wrestler never to win a Major World Title. My favourite wrestler of all time and one of the greatest. R.I.P "Mr Perfect" Curt Hennig We will always remember you.

  • I miss watching Mr. Perfect. Rest in peace.

  • Thanks for the memories...

    RIP Mr.Perfect.

  • I dont know anyone who didnt love mr. perfect-LEGEND!

  • simply perfect.

  • nice vid man r.i.p curt to the perfect wrestler. lol rap is crap i like rap but its just somthing about that song i love

  • wow that was great

  • how did he die?

  • I hate to say it, but he died from a cocaine overdose. His heart had already been damaged by steroids; this may also have contributed to his death.

  • Neverless he was absoulelty Perfect... I will miss him!

  • God bless his soul. RIP Curt Hennig

  • Best song and Great wrestler. RIP

  • HE WAS A FREAKIN GENIUS...

    we love you kurt

  • great video thanks

  • Scott Hall had a moustache!

  • You know, I've been watching these tributes to Curt Hennig, Brian Pillman, Owen Hart, and others, and it just makes me appreciative of the fact that I got to grow up watching these performers. Because that's what they are; performers. And, Curt Hennig was one the best of all time. When you look at pro wrestling today, you see a complete lack of creativity in the storyline process. However, guys like Hennig, Pillman, Owen & others could make up for it with their ability and storytelling. RIP Curt

  • rest in peace curt hennig. u r in heaven with other great wrestlers

    :)

  • MR.PERFECT RULES !!!!!!!

  • This is a great tribute to Curt, my all time favourite, absolutely PERFECT.

  • great tribute. he was one of the best

  • Great on the mic and great in the ring.

    RIP Curt Henning :(

  • One of the best heels in the history of professional wrestling, "Mr. Perfect" Curt Hennig.

    RIP Curt.

  • RIP CURT

  • One of the greatest/technical wrestlers of all time. He was one of my fav 5 and I grew up watching him on sat mornings

    may God Bless

  • Great Tribute.

  • He was one of the most gifted man in SportsEntertaiment and never got a (real) chance to win the WWF title! He's got the AWA Title, but he is PERFECT! Hope he will be remembered as one of the greatest there ever have been!

  • I remember him and Bockwinkel going 60 minutes! That was a hell of a show! I always wondered why the WWF (at the time) never put the world title on him? Hogan was a huge draw at the time, yes, but there for a while,Curt was the top heat getter.

  • Thank you all for your comments. It is good to see that so many people don't forget the old heros and appreciate their skills.

A quote from Larry Hennig fits well to some of the comments here: "Curt had 100% ability, 100% body, 100% agility, 100% attitude, and 100% good guy. Unfortunately, only 50% attention of the wrestling promoters."

  • When I was a kid, honest to God, I worshipped Hennig. In fact, I loved him more as a bad guy. He truly was my favorite wrestler from that era, right up there with Rick Rude and Randy Savage. His death was tragic but I hope I get to live life just 1/100th as well as he lived his.

  • If you look at the era he was in there should have been a lot of champions that weren't, with Hennig and Rick Rude at the top of the list, two of the best workers ever, and they gave the belt to warrior, who didn't care one way or the other about learning the craft.

  • Imagine if Curt Hennig was the Intercontinental champion and feuded with Bret Hart while "The Hitman" was World champion. "Mr. Perfect" and Hart would've lit up rings all over the U.S. and the world with a rivalry like that.
