  • what lb test should i use for this?

  • @OjGoon420 Its a highly adaptable technique and the line should match up with the bait used, for spinning rods in open water or in a tough bite I use 4#-8# fluorocarbon but you can throw this rig around cover or even on casting equipment with higher lb line and bigger baits, thanks for the comment!.

  • This has got potential i think, Ive not seen this fished over here in the uk, But im going to give it a go for pollack / bass fishing off my kayak. Im going to fish it slightly differently than you as i cant get the same type of weights over here, i would have to import them, So im going to use what we call a "rotten bottom" link, which is a piece of mono that is 5-10lb test so if the lead does get stuck then i can pull out as by braid is around 30lb test. Thanks for posting

  • One silly question from real beginner , should I use float with drop fishing rig or just the rig as u shown us without a float on the surface , thanks

  • @MikesPowerAus Use it on the bottom, the weight will make the rig sink and the worm will suspend off the bottom.

  • Awesome man.. you taught me how to tie on my first drop shot rig.. Now on to practice fishing it

  • great rig it works very well here in nj. i use a slugo and they kill it. thanx for sharing.

  • Great setup and nice rig.

  • when your tieing the hook on the line thats on the pole already how far would you say double it over or how far back like

  • @arkansasfisherman for the slack line? i get about 6-8 inches up the line then tie the palomar know i dont cut it off until i put it through the top of the hooks then i trim it to where i want the weight sorry if this answer that you were lookin for kindof a confusing question lol

  • @colbybassmaster yea it did and i know it was confusing i had to retype it twice it twice because it didnt make since to me and thanks this will defiantly be my new knot for pond catfishing

  • @arkansasfisherman

I get your question. All you neede to do is tie like 2 extra feet of what you would call a "tag" end then tie your Sinker on accordingly so that you can be sure to have enough space. Hope this is the answer you were looking for!

  • I actually do use 50 pound braid dropshot but only on the ocean for bluefish and what i use for the sinker is ounce and for bait a 12 inch bunker (Bunker is a small species of tuna) and o yea a 5/0 hook

  • i thought i was on the neko rig video when i commented first i meant to say a neko rig is like a reverse darter head.

  • @Bassfishing022 haha i figured lol thanks for checkin it out lol

  • no no no i know what a drop shot rig is im saying when you put a screw or nail wieght at the end of a worm and hook it texas rig on the opposite side of the wieght is a reverse darter head not a drop shot its basically the same thing as the neko rig but hooked texas rig instead of wacky.

  • @Bassfishing022 then why comment on the dropshtot vid?lol

  • @Bassfishing022 wtf??? a dropshot? is like a reverse darterhead uh not really a dropshot is liek a live bait rig for saltwater and down south but i havent heard of it being compared to a reversed darterehad

  • ARE YOU TELLiNG US WE DID IT WRONG IN OUR VID? YOU CLOWN!

    hahaha jk. nice vid bro!

  • @TheCrickHicks lmao na

  • i use a size 1 gamakatsu dropshot hoot and it never stays up straighti tie it excatly how you do

  • @BassAnglerMike33 but the slack line needs to go through the top of the hook through teh bottom to the weight or else it falls upside down

  • @colbybassmaster i put it thru the top
