I remember when they did this with Hello an Angry Johnny to have the "band versions" I thought that was the coolest thing (still do) to have the same song in a different style. This of course more like her concert versions. The 90s had a ton of those promotional cd versions. I remember a group called Brother Cane had a promotional cd for a song with 7 different versions.
I like either because of the songwriting, but I've always owned the CD and liked the album version. Also, the one and only time I heard a radio station play it (in Toronto, late June 1996), they aired the album version. Until today, that was the only version I had been aware of. The album version is more in sync with the "Angry Johnny" sound.
well, evidently, if you bought an entire album just for ONE song, without even checking it it was the right version of the song on the album, you are very unintelligible people indeed.
I bought the album after hearing this version. Nowhere to be found. Just trendy hipster-hop. Big disappointment. I'd buy this if it was available somewhere.

As mentioned, I too went out and bought the album for THIS version (the video version that was played when it first came out)...took it back!
What a crock to get people excited about a song and have a different version (lame version) on the cd???
Crazy...
Oh well Thanks for posting the Vid!
