For 6'2", it would take 46" for him to graze the rim with his head. So on a lot of these dunks it looks like he's getting up 40" or maybe 41". Vince's max vertical was 43.5" and in the 2000 Dunk Contest they measured him at 37" on his highest dunk. So he got about 6" off his max vert when normally dunking. Based on that I'd estimate that Air Up There's vert is 46" or 47".

@VCthaGOATdunker talk to me when Vince cater does a 720 and 360 between the legs in a game. and remember this guy is 6'2 and VC is like 6'6. this guy could jump over Yao Ming if he was VC height. even TDUB jumps over a 7 footer and he is just 5'9. this guy dunking is what he does. you can't compare any NBA player in terms of dunking to anyone on the streets.

LMAO yeah you cant compare nba dunker to streetballer, cause NBA PLAYERS ACTUALLY DUNK ON THE BEST DEFENDERS IN THE WORLD. AUT dunks in entertaintment games. there is no defense. VC dunked on every great shotblocker in the league. AUT would have been crushed if he ever had the chance to try that. And again VC jumping over Weis or his 360 windmill are better than any dunks any streetballers have ever put down.

AUT barely dunks on bums with no defense in entertaintment games. 720 dunk? You mean that 540? And atleast Vince does not nickname himself after a dunk he can't even do anymore haha. Second you forget this guy is 6'2 while VC is 6'6. Not saying this dude is better but you got to give the man his credit.

yeah you guys just keep pointing out that he's 4 inches shorter than VC. it means he's genetically inferior. He's too small to make certain dunks look as great as VC does. His hands are too small, I doubt he can even palm the ball like VC grips it like an orange. his arms are not long while vc's wingspan is one of the most impressive in the league for his height. point blank: VC was born to be the best dunker. his entire body is designed for it.

@VCthaGOATdunker body control doesnt mean just keeping your body inline on a dunk.. yeh vince has great body control. but come on look were AUT is cathing some of these oops, there are some awful passes and AUT is cathing them from different areas and still finishing with authority.. im not taking nothing away from vince, but AUT body control in the air is unmatched by any basketball player, period.

You just proved me right when I said you AUT fans havent even seen VC's dunks. The guy caught some of the worst passes and still slammed them home. no alley oop can compare to his 1 handed one against philly. VC has more extension, body control(he never falls all over the ground or hangs on the rim after a dunk) power, better finishes, style, strength, athleticsm, balance etc. etc. than ya boy.

athleticism- LRplant AUT wins. RLplant Vince wins. L-one-foot similar (VC probably slightly better (hard to tell due to height difference)
strength- VC wins, but i dont see how that is relevant to dunking
variety of dunks - AUT slaughters vince
plus AUT is about 4or5 years younger. VC greatest NBA dunker. AUT greatest all round dunker

Strength IS relevant to dunking. POwer dunks is another aspect.

Dude, ever heard of a dunk being powerful? The more power the better and that's what strength is for. Vince has dunked the ball so fucking hard a few times that it literally bounced to the other side of the court.
AUT can't jump well off one foot. In fact he looks very pathetic when he tries. Meanwhile Vince is very versatile. Can jump both ways.
And Vince has done WAY more diffirent types of dunks. How about this wise guy, I'll post new videos comparing them this weekend/next week, you'll see

@VCthaGOATdunker AUT is a better dunker style wise than vince ever was...but vince is a better in game dunker only because he finds more ways to dunk on people in the game. But in the game AUT's dunks look better and are more stylish....plus AUT'S vertical is higher than vince in his prime...but no one will ever have a better looking windmill than vince carter hands down

@VCthaGOATdunker dumb ass. 1: there's a difference between dunker, and IN GAME DUNKER. Dunkers are pure entertainers, and meant only for eye candy for the crowd. They're NOT efficient scorers, and they DON'T posterize people, because the only games they're in are w/ players who don't have the desire to jump. Dunkers go in dunk contests, and, yes, Vince was very creative w/ his dunks, AUT is a better dunk contest dunker, and could get up higher than Carter
