The stiff movement of the characters & ranged combat is an unattractive reminder of combat in Star Trek Online. Standing in the open and rapid firing like that looks utterly stupid. Running in a straight line towards the enemy not much better and in some cases worse.

@pikachu7567 Dragon Age 1/2 & Mass Effect 1/2 both had very limited selections of weapon & armor models.

Perhaps he was basing his judgement off Bioware's most popular franchises. Given consideration that they're taking heed from their prior success with the model they've used and are applying it to the MMO genre [romancing an npc in an MMO? Really, Bioware?], it's not too illogical to think that they might follow suit with the short-comings of said titles, no?

Just a thought.

@dystopianlover but dragon age and Mass effect were not MMO's. If they only had 5 sets of armor for each class that would be ridiculous, you need way more than that to have acceptable stats for the different specs and roles in the party such as healer and DPS.

However, whilst it is inexcusable for them to only have 5 armor models per class (with their budget), that doesn't mean they won't do it (please note that I don't mean to say that they will. I don't know what they have planned.)

Also, please note that '5 models' is not the same as '5 armor sets' in the game. One means visual differences in a nigh-infinite permutation of stats/effects [Borderlands] whilst the other means 5 suits of armor [Mass Effect 2]

@RationalTheism No, the meant that's how you might look. In every MMO when you level up you buy or get new armour. Well the same here, this is how you might progress through armor not how you have to.

maybe it will be good to give a custom coloring for some kind of clothes and armor, for all the free lancers, and for the others [the troopers for example] will be able to change the looks of some gears on, scratches, writings atc on top of the armor rather then to change to color, cuz they are soldiers and have to have a uniform...

@SoraQuasar im watching on comcast ondemand right now and they havent said anything about things liek that but they re saying that theirs billions of combos of armor and clothes you can wear and that you will be able to custom your chacter and yes a pink storm trooper would look extremly weird but funny XD
