I heard that the new M1 will be the M version of the current 1 series.

BMW is going to fk up the old M1 supercar's history. They should make the M1 a supercar like it was in the 1980s.

You heard wrong... the new 1-Series with M-engine is a "BMW 1-Series M". Just like the "BMW Z4 M".

If BMW will start producing this car, it will be an M1.

@GangstaDogg21 - That would be the BMW 1M, as the current version. A little brother to the M3 and M5.

These are versions of the M1, mid-engine, and the first BMW to wear the 'M' badge.

For BMW, these were a dismal failure. BMW has had no luck with a mid-engine production car since.
