Muhammed Ali fought all of THE BEST in their primes he fought and beat Sonny Liston, he fought and beat George Foreman, he fought and beat Ernie Shavers who is arguably the Hardest Puncher of all time. The rest of the greats he went in their with including Ken Norton.

I think Ali was better although many people say mayweather sucks simply cuz they hate him and who he is as a person. Lets face it just cuz someone from our generation is so great many decide to hate them and don't even dare compare to past fighters. But Ali also had many haters who wouldn't dare compare him to sugar ray robinson. So what really counts is the skill, and in the future Mayweather will be looke upon as one of the greats up there with all these boxers.
