I saw Jacob's Ladder in the theater when it came out. I was 16 and frying pretty hard. THAT was a bad acid trip. Should have sued the studio that produced the movie.
@rickzters this is a great song really,it's a shame they didnt get the recognition they deserved, and this song brings me back to the time it came out, good memories!
one of my all time favorite bands...it's a crime that they never became as huge as they should have been. sometimes i feel like the only person on earth still listening to their cds on a regular basis!
@rickzters ....one year later a reply....these guys were around when I was an agent/booker for the local hollywood scene in the late eighties. They were a very good band who made some choices that steered them in directions that were a mistake. I don't remember the management, it may be unfair to blame them but at a time when the local scene was incredibly influential nationally, they took a more safe course as far as exposure went.
Hey!! at 1:52, that's Rodney Bingnahamer!!! His a local legendary DJ out here in Los Angeles. He discoverd so many bands to be head out in the readio!!
I remember buying the Rhino Greatest Hits for Anything,Anything and then loving all of those songs on that cd. I remember this song was a pack of cds that came wih the SEGA CD for genesis. It had like 3 games and 2 music cds. They Might Be Giants were also on that cd!!! Ahhhhhhhh old school.... great stuff! I would love to see them live.
What a great band! And a great tune! I never knew anything about these guys until I found out Chris Carter from BWTB was a member! I gotta pick up a couple albums! Can anybody recommend which one to get first?
Cinema Verite (that's debut cd), and Vinyl definately. Basically all of albums are great, but first of you should buy those. The greatest thing is that Dramarama still rockin'! No matter the lead singer John became old. He needs stylist now...haha. Kidding
@rickzters I agree completely! The song was lost in the musical maelstrom that was the early 1990's. I wonder if the song would be accepted today?

Does anyone have an mp3 of their version of "last of the famous international playboys?" I used to have the 7" but it was lost in a fire.

It's just a fun song period. video is like a bad acid trip but fun upbeat song.

@causalityofbeing I'd enjoy the acid trip that would be this video-I guess it comes down to tastes&mental strength (and of course degree of insanity)
