Snow leopards have been my favourite animals for years. I only wish more of them existed.... they're so beautiful.

Of course the same could be said for all animals. I just wish more people knew the importance the animal kingdom has and that it needs to be cherished and protected....

I wish I could find more people who care about the welfare of ALL animals, not just the human species.

I live in a big city, where most of my co-workers come from even bigger cities (NYC), so they don't know the wonders found in woodlands, fields, and streams.

Try to get them interested in animal conservation, you'll have your work cut right out for you. They're decent people, they just have little experience with wildlife.

BingoXBoy, the cats at Big Cat Rescue have nice sized Cat-A-Tats(yards). They were born into captivity elsewhere. When we take in a cat we give it as much room as possible. Unfortunately, when a wild cat is born into captivity it can't be released into the wild. We did not make these cats captive, we are simply trying to give them as good a home as possible for the remainder of their lives. We have successfully released a bobcat into the wild and followed-up on her progress. See our website.

Usually, Scott needs more than a two day notice on something because he works from long before daylight to long after dark. He works most days a week. what a beautiful cat and its long tail is so cool!

The Snow Leopard actually has the longest tail of all the cats. It helps them keep their balance as they leap and run at high speeds and when they make lightening quick turn while running on the sides of cliffs, mountains and rocks. Because the climate they live in is so very cold they wrap their tail up around their face and body when they sleep. So their tail is a great balancing tool AND a blanket.

Question, what do you feed them? Because I know their food is mostly goats. But do you feed them things like fish, or steak, or just plain meat?

Good question. THe snow leopards we have get the same food as the other large cats. Chicken quarters and a high end zoo diet called Natural Balance. And sometimes beef.
