I remember not being to impressed the first time i listened to this album... oh, how it's grown on me <3 the whole sound of it took some getting used to, i guess. it's so different from fallen, and the more i listen to it, the more i love it. and it introduced fans to Amy's awesome soprano. :D

But the second one was very different from the first which is what made it unique and special.

My Fave song is "Like you" The reason why Amy Lee made this song was because she was explaining how she felt when her baby sister died a few years ago. It's the same thing I felt when MY baby Brother died. The song talks about how she felt like she should've died and her sister should have been the one to live.

Its quite a weak album id say, amy lee's vocals dont really get noticed in this album at all :| and i find the compositions rather plain, theres no edge to it. Kind of like how Lacuna coil stuffed up Karmacode :(

But im so glad its out now! The best songs are this one "Lacrymosa" and "Loose Controll" I love how loose controll is all hauntingish. Actually, there've been 18 tracks recorded. But only 13 made the cut. And it's rumored that a studio-version of their Korn cover of "Thoughtless", might be one of the few that didn't make the cut. It's also rumored that the song (a studio version of the cover) might actually be on "The Open Door". As a bonus/hidden track. But as of yet, that's only a rumor.

Actually, upon hearing the original "Lacromisa", and watching this, and seeing how the lyrics flow with the melody, i'm guessing Amy and co. actually put lyrics to the song. Brilliantly infact. But for anyone who doesn't know this already, "Lacromisa" is a Mozart piece, and Evanescence obviously covered it, and added lyrics to it.
