I agree. The new metal is terribly poor. I'd like the new bands were playing as they used to. Once the concert was great. Even the police in socialism did not kill the love for metal :-) greetings from the Upper Silesia;)
I bought this as soon as it was released;couldn't wait to hear the combined effort.Trevor Perez great rhythm man but the dark around his eyes looks like about 3 year's attached to a crack pipe haha.
By far the best hybrid album of the 90's. Never saw these guys ,but I still have a copy of the cd on the toy's factory Japanese label. Earache also gave me a t-shirt that I still own. Everyone check out the new Napalm Death some of the best stuff these guys have ever done. Rock on metalheads
@eroticmisery Dude, fuck no. Well, not all of it atleast. You just have to dig through the deathcore scene, wank-death metal, etc. to find the good stuff. There's a lot of modern metal that's just fucking amazing.
industrial death at its very best. flawless tehnique and super vocals. back in those days, i was hoping this is how the music of the future would sound. now im up here in the future, stuck with slipknot and alike. sad.
Went to see Obituray, Napalm Death and Machine Head back in Sept.'94. Machine Head had to cancel or something.. SOOOOOOOOOO guess what happened? MEATHOOK SEED!!!!!! Great performance......was one of the 1st times they ever performed live as MEATHOOK SEED......MAY HAVE BEEN 1ST TIME(????) Seems like Trevor (Obituary) when he came on stage to tell audience that MH wasn't there and informed us of what they were gonna do mentioned that this would be their 1st time on stage since albums release
What the hell happened to Meathook Seed anyway! EMBEDDED was amazing. And then they follow up with B.I.B.L.E. - which is some awful brand of alternative rock. It's 'cuz they got some new singer, but I can't believe that Shane Embury and Mitch Harris agreed to play on that piece of crap.
I remember when "Famine Sector" was first played on a college radio show I used to listen to. Nothing like it at the time. Also love "A Wilted Remnant".
INCREDIBLE! They only played 2 live shows, you know? We got to see the very first one, and the ONLY American performance! I hereby announce that we are cool as fuck!
This kicks ass, you guys should really check out Blood From The Soul as well. I think Napalm made some of their best music during the Fear, Diatribes era.
I directed this video many, many years ago. Nice to see it here, but the YouTube/Flash compression makes it look crappy. It was shot in one afternoon in Tampa. All on Super8 film. A crew of three, the band and a bunch of beer. Good times. Paynie
one of the most unique bands at the time, I loved that they did shows the night before the napalm/obit tour shows. I got to see them live @ wetlands in NYC.. and it was kick ass. this shit is in my ipod, always. shane's other project CD "blood from the soul" at the time was cool too, it kind if was like a primer for Diatribes.
classic great tune....

I see what you mean! I'd say Slipknot mainly derived their look from Mr. Bungle, though.
